1. 1. ADVERTISMENT
Pros and Cons
2. 2. Advertisment definition

Advertising is a way of communication
 3. 3. Persuade customers to purchase a particular brand of product.
 4. 4. Generate increased consume of those products and services.

Marketing steps
1) MARKET RESEARCH: what product is needed, what product people would buy and what kind of people buy it. These people are called TARGET GROUP.
5. 5. 2.Product development: PRODUCT-ORIENTED COMPANIES and MARKET-ORIENTED COMPANIES. Product-oriented companies invest a lot of money and time in finding new or improved goods to sell them on the market.
Market-oriented companies want to find out what is needed and then they try to develop new ways of production or new goods.
3. Promotion- Promotion is very important because however good a product is, it will not find any buyers, if no one knows about it. If you want to sell a specialized product, all you have to do is to write to people or companies, which are known to be interested or place an advertisement in a trade magazine.
6. 6. Pros of advertisments

Advertisements help to increase the sale of goods and so producers can sell goods at reasonable prices.
 7. 7. They raise the standard of living of people by drawing attention to new products and ideas.
 8. 8. Advertisements can be found in magazines, radio programs, in the newspaper, in the streets, or in kiosks.

Cons of advertisments

Make us buy things we do not need or want.
 9. 9. They make us believe that our dreams will come true if we use their products.
 10. 10. They imply that money can make our dreams come true.

But this is obviously not so. We cannot buy personal good looks, intelligence, good friendships or a happy family. A lot of advertisements are, therefore, a way of lying. They can also make people feel depressed with their ordinary lives, especially those people who have only a small amount of money to spend on luxuries.
11. 11. Types of advertisments
Advertising can be:

Outdoor Advertising,
 12. 12. Broadcast advertising,
 13. 13. Covert Advertising,
 14. 14. Surrogate Advertising,
 15. 15. Celebrity Advertising.

Outdoor Advertising: The most common examples of outdoor advertising are billboards and kiosks. Billboard advertising is very popular, however, it has to be really terse and catchy in order to grab the attention of the passersby.
Broadcast advertising: It can be on television, radio or the Internet. Television advertisements have been very popular ever since they have been introduced. The radio might have lost its popularity. However, it remains to be the choice of small-scale advertisers. Radio jingles have been very popular advertising media.
16. 16. Covert Advertising: This advertisings are recorded in media channels like movies, television shows or even sports.
Surrogate Advertising: Is seen in cases where advertising a particular product is banned by law. For example, advertisements with products like cigarettes or alcohols that are illegal of banned by law.
Celebrity Advertising: Is using celebrities for advertising involves signing up celebrities for advertising campaigns, which consist of all sorts of advertising including, television ads or even print advertisements.
