Membership Survey Conducted January-April 2013
Highlights • The future of many publications is tied to the health of the denominations they serve • 40% get denominational/organizational grants • 60% are registered charities, but only 4 have been audited
Highlights • Circulation is decreasing for 48% of publications • 75% are doing, or expect to be doing, a combination of print and online • Two major issues are: • rising costs (printing, distribution) • declining/aging circulation
Highlights • The number 1 value of the CCP is networking/fellowship/resourcing. • Number 2 is awards. • The website is not a go-to destination—it could be, but would require someone’s time
Highlights • Over half of members are involved in communications. Also, • 75% do PR • 39% do fundraising • 42% do videos • An annual convention is important to 87% of members.
Next steps • Full analysis by executive • Create action steps to address identified issues and suggestions • Build value for CCP membership

  • 2. Highlights • The future of many publications is tied to the health of the denominations they serve • 40% get denominational/organizational grants • 60% are registered charities, but only 4 have been audited
  • 3. Highlights • Circulation is decreasing for 48% of publications • 75% are doing, or expect to be doing, a combination of print and online • Two major issues are: • rising costs (printing, distribution) • declining/aging circulation
  • 4. Highlights • The number 1 value of the CCP is networking/fellowship/resourcing. • Number 2 is awards. • The website is not a go-to destination—it could be, but would require someone’s time
  • 5. Highlights • Over half of members are involved in communications. Also, • 75% do PR • 39% do fundraising • 42% do videos • An annual convention is important to 87% of members.
  • 6. Next steps • Full analysis by executive • Create action steps to address identified issues and suggestions • Build value for CCP membership
