2. • This country has the distinction of having a system based on a
socialist, understanding that the government is directly responsible
for most of the health services. The Chinese government is
responsible for ensuring the care and welfare of the oral health of
all its inhabitants. That is why they created a fund type where there
are custom insurance covering the costs of these services according
to the needs of the patient.

3. • Compared to our country, China has most of its dental practitioners
laboring at public institutions and only a small part is working in the
private sphere. This nation is also shown to be aware of the oral
health of its population because of this; they have implemented
measures such as water and milk fluoridation.

4. • They also have implemented campaigns that seek the welfare of
the oral health through preventive services from an early age such
as in primary schools. Importantly, these campaigns have been
around 15 years in this hard work.
These campaigns expand across the country and its main objective
is to reach the most remote places, those small towns for one or
other reasons have been forgotten. There have been several
campaigns that have been recognized worldwide and helped to
better the quality of oral health in the participants.
• With all of these tools, China is able to offer its citizens better oral
care and be more aware of the problems that beset the population.

5. • In Costa Rica it is necessary to implement public health services that
most people can access, people who really need the dental service.
I also believe that the government should be involved as much as in
developed countries such as China, where the government
monitors the oral health and well-being of its population.
• It is important that the government is familiar with the real needs
that beset the country and the people who suffer from poverty; Los
Cuadros is a clear example of this.
