1. MoE fixes quotas.
The Ministry of Education has allocated quotas for the medical colleges affiliated to the
Kathmandu University. Issuing a public notice with pre-nomination of students on Tuesday, the
MoE allocated 133 quotas for MBBS, 30 quotas for Bachelors in Dental Science and six quotas
for BSc Nursing. The MoE said that out of the total quotas, 15 quotas each have been allocated
for Sinamangal-based Kathmandu Medical College, Jorpati-based Nepal Medical College and
Biratnagar-based Nobel Medical College, 30 quotas each for Pokhara-based Manipal College of
Medical Sciences and Bharatpur based College of Medical Sciences, 17 quotas for Nepalgunj-based
Nepalgunj Medical College, 10 for Palpa-based Lumbini Medical College and one for
Dhulikhel-based Kathmandu University.
