2. Bauer Media
Bauer is Europe’s largest privately owned publishing Group, I believe my
magazine is a great product to sell under Bauer Media productions.
Bauer Media owns top music magazines Kerrang and Q and radio
stations Magic 105.4 and Kiss 100. f
My magazine would fill a gap in Bauer Media’s market as they currently
do not publish a magazine of Hip-Hop/R&B genre. Europe compared to
other parts of the world, America in particular doesn’t invest in many
endorsements aimed at the urban sub-culture such as music magazines.
Bauer clearly has a lot of knowledge of music and with a successful
R&B/Hip-Hop radio station such as Kiss 100 I see no reason why my
magazine could not accompany it and be seen as a monthly issue
referring to KISS 100’s direct top songs, DJs and mutual featured artists.
I believe my magazine has the right flair and edge to sit amongst Bauer
Media and its top selling music magazines therefore to distribute ‘DJ
Talk’ under Bauer Media would be a great way of reaching all popular
music styles and possibly dominating a gap in the market which has yet to
be covered in the UK. With my magazine being Hip-Hop/R&B genre I
see no reason as to why it would directly compete with Bauer Media’s
existing music magazines.
