2. Final Cut Pro
Final Cut Pro is a non-linear video editing software that was
developed by Macromedia Inc. and later, Apple Inc. The
software allows users to log and transfer videos onto a hard
drive, either external or internal, where it can be edited,
processed, and output into a wide variety of formats.
Since the early 2000’s, Final Cut Pro has developed a large
and constantly expanding user base, particularly popular
with video hobbyists and independent film makers. The
software has also become increasingly popular with
television and film editors, who have traditionally preferred
the use of Avid Technology’s Media Composer.
3. According to a 2007 study,
Final Cut Pro made up 49% of
the US professional editing
market, with Avid at 22%.
We decided to use Final Cut
Pro as it was effective, easy to
use software, which gave our
film a professional finish.
4. Major Motion Pictures

Pro, such as:
-The Ring
-The Simpsons Movie
-The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

create title sequences (usually animated) for certain media
products (films, television, music videos etc.).
6. Live Type Features
Templates-Although Live Type is comprised of mainly
different font effects, animated objects and textures can be
added to a project. There are lots of different templates that
contain different themes (Skyline, Fire, etc.), that can be
opened and applied to the project. Any image or object can
be placed on this new canvas and still be edited.
Live Font-This is one of the key features of Live Type.
There are a wide variety of different fonts, many of which
contain animated characters. Fonts include smoke,
handwriting, blinking lights and fire.
7. Live Type Features
Effects-As well as fonts and templates, there is also a wide
range of effects available in Live Type. These effects can be
added to both type of fonts on Live Type-animated and
normal fonts. The effects are easily altered, such as timing,
length and order, whilst new effects can be created from
scratch. Effects include glowing font, scrolls, fades, zooms,
etc.
