With the prevalence of liberalization, privatization and globalization,many small entrepreneurs are venturing to take up the new projects to earntheir livelihood and provide employment to the needy people. When we haveto start with a new project we have to analyze various aspects such as Finance,Market, Technical, Social etc. to check the feasibility of that particularproject. In This course students will basically learn analysis of these variousaspects and how the project reports are prepared.The key guidelines to project planning, analysis, financing, and selection are: • Develop a strategy that leads to sustainable competitive advantage. • Sharpen the ability of the firm to identify promising investment opportunities. • Formulate the project, taking into account the interrelationships among variable aspects. • Establish a hurdle rate that is consistent with the risk exposure of the project. • Calculate the net present value of the project. • Value the options embedded in the project. • Blend judgment with analytical reasoning.Assignment 1: Based on Porter’s Model.
