1. SPLIT SCREEN – (MUSIC NON DIEGETIC SOUND) – HONEY BEE – BLAKE
SHELTON
ON THE LEFT – JONATHAN SMITH – INT BEDROOM – EARLY MORNING
(Alarm goes off then music starts.)
(If you'll be my soft and sweet I'll be you‟re strong and steady,
You be my glass of wine I'll be your shot of whiskey. You be my
sunny day I'll be your shade tree, You be my honeysuckle, I'll be
your honeybee. )
The alarm goes off and we see JONATHAN lying on a bed in his
blue-striped bottom pyjamas. He lifts his head up to look at the
alarm and slams his head back down. He groans and lifts his hands
on his face, and gently rubs it. He slowly gets up and sits at
the corner of the bed. He slams his hand on the alarm to stop it.
He inhales a few breaths and lifts his body up and stretches his
body before moving towards the bathroom.
The room is a large with a king-size bed in the middle. There is
a massive cream colour wardrobe that is from wall to wall, with
mirrors on each door. A poster is on the back of his bedroom
door, which says „LIFE IS TOO SHORT‟. There is a bookshelf with
all the latest economic problems and classic novels, “Great
Expectations by Charles Dickens” and “In Cold Blood by Truman
Capote”. There is a book at the end of the shelf called “Sam‟s
letters to Jennifer by James Patterson”. His desk is full of
paperwork all neatly packed and in order. The laptop is open to
show a long piece of letter to his clients. There are several
cups of coffee all in the same white plain mugs and there is a
small picture frame of an old man and an old lady cuddled up
together both smiling widely. There is a photo frame of a little
boy next to the laptop.
He walks out of the bathroom with his toothbrush in his mouth. He
walks towards his desk while brushing his teeth. He picks up the
photo frame with the two old couple and sighs. He puts it back
down. He walks back to his wardrobe and takes out his suit. He
puts his suit on the hanger near the full-length mirror next to
his door. He walks back into the bathroom. He walks towards the
suit and neatly puts it on. He folds his pyjamas and puts them on
the edge of his bed.
ON THE RIGHT – KATHERINE – INT BEDROOM – EARLY MORNING
The alarm goes off and we see KATHERINE tangled up in bed sheets.
She lifts her head up and slams it back down. For a few seconds
2. she closes her eyes. She opens her eyes again and lifts the
pillow and throws it at the alarm clock. The alarm clock hits the
floor and goes off. She groans and moves her body and lies on her
back. She sits up and slowly moves her legs to the edge of the
bed. She gets up and stretches her body and walks towards the
bathroom.
The room is a medium size and the bed is in the middle. There are
clothes around the bed. There is a bookshelf on top of her bed
with mostly romantic books like “Twilight Series” and “Nicholas
Spark‟s” books, like “A walk to remember” and the “Notebook” all
in a row in the correct order. There is an extra book on the
shelf that is on the edge of falling off called “Sam‟s letters to
Jennifer by James Patterson”. There is a big poster on her wall
saying „KEEP CALM AND GET WILD‟. On her desk there is a laptop
open to a slideshow of her family pictures and baby pictures. On
the desk we see there are 3 different mugs saying „YOU STEAL YOU
BUY‟, „WANT TO DANCE?‟ and „I‟M IN LOVE‟. There is a small
picture frame of her and friends and a frame, which has her
mother and father laughing and looking at eachother with passion.
She hurries from the bathroom and opens the brown wooden
wardrobe. She finds a peach colour dress which is knee length and
with patterns on the chest. The dress has purple and blue daisies
around the sides of the dress. She quickly puts it on. She moves
near her full length mirror which has stickers of „KEEP THE WORLD
CLEAN‟ „LIFE IS TOO SHORT‟ around the corners. She brushes her
hair and with her hands she puts her hair into a messy bun. She
runs towards her desk and tries to find a folder.
ON THE LEFT - EXT - DRIVEWAY- EARLY MORNING
A black Mercedes is parked in front of the large building.
JONATHAN steps out of the building; his tall long body shows his
well-built muscles. He slowly carries himself towards the car. He
is in a black suit and blue tie that is smooth and ironed neatly.
He slowly unties his tie as he is walking towards the car.
JONATHAN approaches the car and slowly opens the back door. He
chucks his black leather bag at the back of the seat. His big
bold hands then slam the door shut. He slowly runs his hands
through his messy brown hair and exhales sharply. He opens the
front door and moves his body to the front seat. He slams the
door shut.
EXT - INSIDE THE CAR - EARLY MORNING
3. JONATHAN slowly puts his seatbelt on. He turns on the car and
drives out of the driveway into the main road. He moves his hand
over the steering wheel and presses a button as a slow gentle
music is played. He stops at the red light and moves his hand
near the car door and lifts up a box onto his lap. He opens it up
to find sunglasses and puts them on. He takes out his IPhone and
slots it in the phone pocket of the car.
He Takes a deep breath and turns into the company‟s car park. He
holds his card out which writes „JONATHAN SMITH‟ to the sensor.
Hearing the beep he takes his card back into his pocket. He
drives into his car park area specially designed for him, which
has a sign „PRIVATE – JONATHAN SMITH‟. He parks his car. He
closes his car windows and removes his phone from the car wheel.
He slides the phone in his pocket and turns off the car. He opens
the door to step out.
EXT – COMPANY CAR PARK AREA – MORNING
He steps out of the car and smooth‟s his suit out. He opens the
back door and reaches for his black leather bag. As he grabs his
back he checks the time. He has a Black/sliver Armani watch on.
The time shows to 7:45am. He has a smirk on his face. He shuts
the door and with the cars keys he locks the car making a beeping
noise. He walks towards the front entrance.
ON THE RIGHT - EXT - EARLY MORNING - OUTSIDE APARTMENT
A Volkswagen beetle car is parked outside the apartment.
KATHERINE exits the building holding several folders and the cars
keys. The car keys fells to the ground and when she goes down to
pick it up. The folders on her hand fall to the ground and she
lets out a small scream of frustration. She quickly picks up the
messed up folders and walks towards the car.
She opens the door and chucks the folders to the front seat. She
gets into the car. She turns on the car and drives to the main
road. She rolls down the window and the light wind hits her. The
tape stops working. She pulls it out and puts in back in again.
She lightly hits the stereo and its starts to work again. She
takes out her Nokia phone and looks at the time; time shows 7:35
am. She speeds up the limit. She throws the phone to the seat.
4. The car pulls up the entrance of the car park. She pulls out a
card showing her name KATHERINE MELBOURNE. The sensor captures
and beeps twice before letting her in. she parks her car and
before going out she grabs her coat bag and pulls out a pink
makeup bag. She applies some foundation and mascara. Getting her
red lipstick she applies it on her pink lips. She applies a bit
of blush on her cheeks, and then she puts back her makeup into
her bag. She grabs her folders and steps out the car. She walks
to the entrance of the building.
SPLIT SCREEN –END-
INT- OFFICE BUILDING – MORING
JONATHAN walks towards the elevator and into it as an employer
hands him his coffee, black with no sugar. KATHERINE runs into
the large glass door building. She sees an elevator open and
hurries to catch it before the doors are closed. She turns
breathless as she approaches the elevator with messy folder in
her hand. KATHERINE runs into the elevator she leans out a hand
to stop the doors closings as she does the folder from her hands
fall on the floor. She kneels down to pick them up, scooping them
all up into a pile. As she moves up to get up as she does she
bumps into JONATHAN and his coffee is split all over his white
shirt. KATHERINE gets very red and quickly tries to wipe of the
coffee.
KATHERINE
Oh my god! I am so sorry!
JONATHAN tries to
shirt that is all
grabs KATHERINE‟s
the other side to
move her body off of him as she is rubbing his
brown now. He lets goes of his leather bag and
hands and moves her away from him. He moves to
the elevator away from KATHERINE.
KATHERINE
I‟m so sorry, it‟s just that I‟m here for an interview and I‟m
really late.
I promise to buy you a new shirt if you give me your number.
JONATHAN
(Laughs)
Give you my number?
No thank you, I don‟t want to be humiliated even more.
5. KATHERINE slowly pulls away and moves to the other side of the
elevator and presses number 9 for her interview. As the elevator
is going up, JONATHAN sighs and tries to wipe his shirt only
making it worse. KATHERINE slowly looks at him and gives a faint
smile. He turns his head and makes a grunt noise. As he goes down
to pick up his leather bag, he tilts his head to the side and
seeing one brown and one black socks KATHERINE is wearing. He
smirks and moves back up. The elevator stops at floor 9 and they
both move out the same time. As JONATHAN walks out before
KATHERINE he smiles and looks back at her.
JONATHAN
(Sarcastic)
Nice socks by the way.
KATHERINE gasps and looks down at her legs. She slowly lifts her
head up, angering as her face goes bright red. She smiles slowly.
KATHERINE
At least they look better than your top.
She brushes her hair and walks right past him. JONATHAN is stood
there in shock and he looks around him and sighs. KATHERINE walks
towards the reception.
KATHERINE
I‟m here to see Mr. SMITH I have an appointment with him.
JONATHAN walks towards his office and turns around to his
secretary and smiles.
JONATHAN
Lisa, please tell this young lady to be in my office in five
minutes.
