2. Ibn khaldun
Born in Ramzan 17, May 1332 in Tunis.
Belong to the family of Andalusia.
According to Enan ancestors of khaldun migrated from Andalusia to Tunis
in the middle of 17 century.
He was son of wali Al Din Abdul Rahman, his origin attribute to Yemenite
Arab.
According to khaldun argument his ancestors belong to ancient Arab tribe
called khaldun in south Arabia.
3. Education
Family social and political activist
received a classical Arabic education.
Studied different mood of recitation.
Well versed in Islamic philosophy.
Khaldun also studied mathematics, logic and philosophy.
And he life adventure begin, in which he spends time in prison,
reaches the highest offices and falls again into exile.
4. Ibn khaldun life
After death of parents he moved to Mauritania.
He entered in public life in 1350 A.D when Abu Muhammad Ibn Tafrakin
summoned him to fill post of seal bearer to young sultan Abu Ishaq.
In 735 A.H Emir of Constantine emerged with a force and conquered Tunis
so khaldun escaped.
Sultan Abu Enan powerful princes appointed him seal bearer in 755 A.H in
Fez.
He learn many things in fez and become interested in politics and sultan
appointed him in the post of secretary of youth but later found him
conspiring against him so khaldun was imprisoned.
5. Ibn khaldun life
vizier Al Hassan Ibn Umar ordered to release khaldun and the post re
stored to him but later on he sided with victorious Mansur and took the
post of secretary of new king.
Abu Salem took the throne and khaldun moved to him and wrote ode on
the eve of prophet birthday.
Ibn khaldun remains two years sectary chamberlain to Abu Salem and
also selected as chief justice but later loose sultan favor.
He remains chief justice and secretary of Salem but later on Omer Ibn
Abdullah dethroned him so khaldun sided with him.
6. Khaldun life
Khaldun want post of the state such as grand Chamberlin but Omar
refused so he resigned and want to move Tunis but king refused.
Appealed Masud ibn Massi brother in law of the king.
Afterward he was tired of politics and moved toward literary work.
Muqaddimah (which records an early view of universal history) written in
1377.
