5. I took this photograph at the canal
bridge. I specifically included the
graffiti in the photograph because I
feel as though is gives a good urban
effect on the photo. I converted this
photograph to black and white and
added a high intensity of grain because
I feel as though with the grain,
monochrome effect and the graffiti, it
gives the photo an urban look. There is
reflection present in this photograph as
the wall is reflected into the canal
Monochrome Urban
and the reflection is as clear as the wall itself. I held the camera at a mid vantage point and
took this photograph without the assistance of a tripod.
6. Monochrome Urban
I took this photograph at the Heath Town
church yard of a pathway leading through
multiple trees. The pathway and the trees
in the image create leading lines that
direct your eyes to the centre of the
image. I converted this photograph to
black and white to create an old/vintage
look. I also added a high intensity of
grain to the image to make it look more
vintage when added to the monochrome
effect. The old style lamppost located
on the right hand side of the image links in with the old fashioned vintage theme that I was
going for. I took inspiration from Charlie Waite for this photograph because he also focuses
on nature shots.

Editor's Notes
Graffiti- good urban effect
Monochrome + high intensity of grain + graffiti = urban look
Reflection present due to still water
