The first time I tried some presentation, there was a lot of cold sweat everywhere.

1. I am a Lecturer teaching Economics. Last year, a presentation was to be made during a
seminar. The presentation was prepared and it was tried and was found to be impressive.
There was a trial presentation with the projector and everything appeared to be fine.
The day arrived and I asked the students to start the presentation and to the horror of
everyone, the show won’t start. With the Principal and other invitees, sweat poured
everywhere on my body. I was not able to find the reason and so no solution could be
offered.
Suddenly, I realized that the new laptop which came with the trial version of MS Office
2007, was the reason for the no-show! It was time to install Open Office into the laptop
but the seminar had to be continued without the presentation that took a lot of time to
make in the first place.
Thereafter, a number of presentations have been done without any hitch.But the first time
still gives me shivers. Even now, some of my colleagues are not afraid to remind of that
no-show.
Fortunately, I console myself with the thought that I am in the company of some truly
remarkable people.
