This document provides an introduction and overview of a book project about interviewing 50 women from different backgrounds and ages. The author aims to showcase real stories of struggles and accomplishments without focusing on miracles or fame. Interviews will explore topics like life changes, proud moments, and reflections. The non-profit project seeks to empower women and highlight their creative contributions by going beyond short talks to in-depth written profiles.

We are WOMEN.
3. I. 为什么要写女性故事?
Why I write about women?
As half of the population, women are still not treated equally in
many parts of the world, including China. Women are viewed as

The reasons are multi-dimensioned: on one hand, women are not

4. II. 写什么样的女性故事? As the book is dedicated to women of all age and race, I will
interview women in 20s, 40s, 60s or even 80s around the
What stories I write about? globe. I will talk to women dancers, professors, business own-
ers, therapists or athletes. I will ask about their confusions, re-
flections, life-changing points and proud stories.
You may not see many miracles or even aha moments here as
in reality, thoughts evolve at different pace for different peo-
ple. You may not see many so-called rich and famous elites, as
in life, success comes in different formats.
All these women are friends or friends of friends around me;
they are not hard to find. In fact, I believe everyone knows

所有我采访的女性都是我的朋友或是我朋友的朋友, 们并不难

给我们希望和力量前行的朋友。
我相信,每个女性的生活都可以写一部这样的故事。

5. III. 采访是怎么做的? Set up interviews
I thank you very much for helping on this project.
How does it work? Before our interviews, I will send you a list of questions that I
am interested to cover. Then we will set up one or two casual
meetings during your convenience and go through those ques-
tions and other interesting stories. Normally, it will take 2-4
hours for the interviews and another one week or two to have
all the contents edited for your review.
