2. City in terms of weather
Throughout the year the city has a tropical climate that makes it on the high scale
for its temperature. The lowest temperature of any day in the year is around 70
degrees and the highest around 98 degrees. Rainfall is greatest in September and
October, with just a bit less during June and July. December through April provides
the least number of rain days. One nice aspect of the climate here is the cool
coastal breezes at night.
3. District Municipality of St. Marta different
sculptures show the indigenous culture and
those dedicated to heroes also make tourist
attraction sites. Among these stand the Rodrigo
de Bastidas erect statue in the popular
"Camellón" or travel located on the beach of the
Bay of Santa Marta, the Tribute to the Tayrona
Ethnicity located in a small gazebo in the first
race with Calle 22.
Monument Pibe Valderrama
The city also has important monuments located
in the Bolivar Park and the statue made by
sculptor Amilkar Ariza in honor of former
football player Carlos "El Pibe" Valderrama.
Monument to the Indian Tayrona. In the bay of
Santa Marta is another important monument,
the monument to the Tayrona Indians, this
artwork can be seen at the end of 22nd Street or
Avenue Santa Rita, reaching the bay of Santa
Marta.

monuments and parks. The city is located to the north of
Colombia. It is near the Caribbean Sea and mountain
ranges. The city has a port. Santa Marta is an important
historical and cultural center. Tourism forms a significant
part of the economy.
Cathedral of Santa Marta
The cathedral is situated between Calles and Carrera. It was
constructed soon after the city was founded. The outside of
the building is white washed. The cathedral has a bell tower
and the chapel is adorned with marble. Inside the chapel,
visitors can see the Virgin statue, which belonged to the
founders. On the chapel grounds is the grave of Rodrigo de
Bastidas. It is also the burial place of Bishop Celendon.
Museo de Ora Tairona
This museum offers a glimpse into the lives of the Tayrona
people. Information on the culture of the Tairona culture is
provided. Visitors can view a model of the Lost City. Gold
artifacts are kept in the vault. The museum is located on
Calle. There are free guided tours in English. The museum
is open Monday to Saturday.
