Córdoba is a city located in southern Spain along the Guadalquivir river. It has a population of around 325,453. Córdoba has mild winters with occasional frosts and hot, variable summers with rainfall from storms. Some of Córdoba's most important monuments include the Mosque of Córdoba constructed in 784, the surrounding archbishop's palace and Roman bridge, and the Palace of the Christian Kings built in 1328. Córdoba also has a historic Jewish quarter dating back to Roman and Gothic times. Notable squares include Plaza de las Tendillas and Plaza de la Corredera.
