Epithelial Food Lab
Purpose How is digested food in the intestine absorbed into epithelial cells? Research Caramel is an intermediate product of a carbohydrate that is
being decomposed by heat. It has many different compositions, all under the same name of "caramel", depending on the carbohydrate it originated
from. Caramel is a large molecule when compared to the other two major molecules in the experiment, glucose and phosphoric acid, so therefore it is
least likely to diffuse through the dialysis tube membrane. However, in a study done by the American Pharmaceutical Association, it was shown that
caramel can slowly pass through a dialysis tube membrane over the course of many hours, provided that the water is changed or the bag is placed in
running water.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The results of the experiment support the first part of my hypothesis, as even from the one minute mark, the BTB test returned a result of acidic, which
indicates that there was phosphoric acid in the distilled water. If the phosphoric acid hadn't moved through the dialysis tubing's membrane, then the
water would have been neutral. My first hypothesis was also correct in that I predicted that the caramel molecules wouldn't be able to permeate the
bag. As there was no visible change in the color of the water in the test tube, which diffusion of caramel would cause, the caramel was not able to pass
through the

Milton Hershey's Hard Work
Some people are born into success, others are taught to work hard and never give up on their dreams. People who work hard to achieve success are
inspirational, talented, and intelligent in their work; but they must be something more than their work. Milton S. Hershey was far more than just a
candy maker, he is a caring, intelligent, and generous man that revolutionized the way people ate chocolate forever. Milton's childhood was not an easy
one, his upbringing forged the foundation of his beliefs that enabled him to be such a hard working businessman and chocolatier. "Milton Hershey was
born on September 13, 1857, in Pennsylvania, to Veronica and Henry Hershey. He was born in a tiny community farm where he spent most of his
childhood days," ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hershey was a revolutionary, he was caring and generous while also building an amazing chocolate empire that has changed the way sweets are
eaten in America forever. Milton's hard childhood and his early business troubles gave him a hard working nature that aided him throughout his
career. Even when faced with a challenge after finding success in the caramel business he faced new challenges head on, he knew that patience and
perseverance would one day pay off. When running the Hershey Chocolate Company he continued the tradition of hard work and he would pay it
forward to his employees by working around hardships that faced them and their families. Through Milton's challenging early life and business
career he gained a set of beliefs that hard work could take him anywhere. This belief played a major role after he had found success in the caramel
business and was presented with a new challenge, chocolate. When he was building his chocolate business he built it on the foundation of his values,
constantly promoting hard work and in turn giving it back to his workers. Even though he had reached the pinnacle of success, in his later years when
the business was faced with hardships and the devastation of war he continued to support his workers and American soldiers through his sweet
creations. Miton's greatness did not cease with his death, his influences and generosity continues to affect many people's lives today. Milton was not
born into success, but his values and hard working nature allowed him to achieve unbelievable

The Importance Of A Good Cafe Place
The definition of a good cafГ© place is not only about its drink or food, but also about its environment and the employee's service attitude. I have
been to many places to buy coffee in Starbucks, and I have to say I really enjoy the Starbucks in MU in my school. The background of the Starbucks
is very interesting. "The first Starbucks opened in Seattle, Washington, on March 30, 1971, by three partners who met while they were students at the
University of San Francisco. The three were inspired to sell high–quality coffee beans and equipment by coffee roasting entrepreneur Alfred Peet after
he taught them his style of roasting beans. The company took the name of the chief mate in the book Moby–Dick: Starbuck, after considering "Cargo
House" and "Pequod" Nowadays, the company has been in North America, Latin America, Europe, and the other 37 countries, with more than
12,000 coffee shop and more than 117,000 employees. The location of Starbucks is in the northwest corner of Memorial Union. Although the
location is not in the middle of Memorial Union, it near by the Hayden Library and there is a small square outside. People can find lots of places to
sit and avoid the sunshine under the shadow of the small square. Also there is a small platform in the center of the small square, and some bands
always perform there. People can enjoy the coffee and some beautiful songs at the same time while sitting outside the Starbucks. There are about 30
desks outside, and some big parasols

Great Candies Research Paper
Breathtaking Experience: Qualities of Great Candies
The average american consumes about twenty–two pounds of candy each year. That is a lot of candy. For people to consume so much, there really
must be something special in them. The unique quality of every candy is what makes the candy delicious. Similar qualities can be found in all great
candies. First, candies with nuts make them seem a whole lot more desirable. Crunch has a brilliant nutty and crunchy taste. The nuts add some flavor
to the boring chocolate taste. The nuts also provide the actual "crunch." Another candy with nuts is Snickers. Snickers have peanuts to make its
chocolate bar more flavourful. It becomes a great combination with the added caramel. Lastly, Payday covers its whole surface with nuts. It is most
likely the nuttiest treat out there. Payday mixes its nuts and caramel in every bite you take. Nuts provide candy with a more stunning taste. ... Show

flavor you are about to consume. M&Ms are another treat that have color. Most chocolates are the same boring brown, but M&Ms are a rare
chocolate candy that has color. They allow the consumer to experience chocolate in a rainbow delight. Although the colors do not indicate a special
flavor, they do create a more enjoyable experience. Finally, Sour Patch Kids. These are a unique sour and sweet treat with assorted colors. They
also provide different flavors associated with different colors. Thanks to the assorted colors, Sour Patch Kids can also be a fun color learning tool for

My Favorite Experience
"THEY HAVE CARAMEL POPCORN," I yelled to my friends. They didn't seem to care, but on an elementary field trip there is always so much
going on that even caramel popcorn can seem boring. We were in the old student building of the University of Washington and the lunches were
blowing my mind. Compared to the reheated–by–microwave slop they plopped on my tray everyday back at school, this cafeteria was a feast for the
gods. I knew I had to go here someday, if only to be able to get caramel popcorn every day for lunch. Despite not recognizing the brilliant architecture,
wonderful academics, and prestigious reputation, I think I had my priorities right as a kid. The popcorn, to be fair, was delicious.
However, about seven years later, I stared at the beautiful library thinking on how I would never be able to go. My dreams were crushed, and the
school I looked so forward to going to was not feasible. I felt like a failure. I sat near a turned off Drumheller Fountain late at night reflecting on
how I failed to reach my goal. My ADHD prevented me from not only doing well in school but it started affecting even the things I enjoyed to do. I
couldn't even finish a book without being distracted. Add on top of that was my brother needed my help because of his epilepsy. Many times before a
final test in class, I'd spend the night in a hospital with him. To top everything off, I had to question who I was as I realized I was gay. I felt like I had

Dunkin Donuts Vs Starbucks Persuasive Essay
Opinion Article: Make the changes you think should be made.
When you reach two o'clock p.m. you immediately start to feel sleepy and very irritable. If it was the weekend you could easily go lay down and take
a nap but when you're at school or running around at work you typically reach for the next best thing – coffee.
While there are various brands such as: Folgers, Maxwell House, and Chock Full O' Nuts you can typically find everyone carrying a Starbucks or
Dunkin' Donuts cup. Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts are the top two competitors when it comes to coffee. I personally am caught between the two. On
one hand, you have Starbucks, they have great tasting coffee but is very overpriced. Dunkin' Donuts while doesn't have all the flavors Starbucks has,
is less than half the price of Starbucks. The amount of money you pay for a small ice coffee in Starbucks you can get a large one at Dunkin' Donuts.

flavored coffee. It's nothing to compare to the Starbucks Macchiato but, it is a close second.
If I was asked to pick either Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks, it would be impossible. There are certain factors that decide which company I will go
with, too many to decide. It all depends on what mood I am in, what store is closest, and how much money I'm willing to spend. They both have

Was Hershey A Success Or A Failure
Almost every kid in this country has at one time or another eaten a Hershey chocolate bar. Hershey chocolate has become famous around the world. It's
crazy to know that the Hershey chocolate factory is more than one hundred years old. Hershey was definitely one who started off with very little and
built his stature with many failures but also achievements. All this with an education up to the fourth grade. The start to the journey of hisHershey
company all started when he sold his Lancaster caramel company for one million dollars (The Great Idea Finder). Since Hershey and his wife were not
able to have kids, he was involved with other children's education resulting in his funding and starting his own school, hotel, and even his own

Essay on Milton Hershey
Milton Hershey was not the type of person that anyone would have viewed as a leader, or shrewd businessman. Being born into a rather poor lower
class family, he was not very well educated. The one thing that we do know for sure though, is that leaders are not born, they are made. This is
exactly the case of Milton Hershey, and because of his undying determination to succeed, he became one of the greatest success stories of all time.
What factors or events made the person a leader?
For Milton Hershey, he was the type of person that not a lot of people expected a whole lot out of. He was your typical small town boy, and although
he had very little growing up, he learned to be happy with what he was given. Although Milton Hershey, did grow... Show more content on

It cost him $150 to get it up and running, and he ended up failing miserably in it. After this, he tried starting another candy business in New York City.
This as well failed. It wasn't until Milton started dealing with caramel, that he really started seeing results back on his business that he was getting
from customers. The thing that really eneded up striking gold for him as we all know was the chocolate industry. He took a big risk in getting into
too, considering that he sold his fairly profitable caramel candy store to pursue finding a way to distribute chocolate cheaper and easier to lots of
lower class people.
What was their leadership based on?
Milton Hershey's leadership style was based on never giving up, and his determination to succeed at all costs. He also wasn't afraid to take his
dreams seriously. He learned not to give up from his father, who had failed in many things, but was always willing to try something new. This is what
ultimately led Milton to fail in business five different times before he finally succeeded in the candy industry.
What specific acts impacted their people?
Milton Hershey affected the people that he worked with in a big way, in the sense that he wasn't afraid, or too good to get down on their level and
help them out. Although, this obviously became more impossible as his business got bigger, he still did everything he could to help out his

Hershey began to build churches, parks, schools, and provided places to stay for his workers. His wife, Catherine, supported him in his philanthropic
dreams. Because they could not have kids, most of their projects had kids as their main focus. It was in 1909 when Catherine and Milton opened the

Midnight Milky Way Research Paper
Tired of your regular candy and wanting something better? If you're hesitant to reach for that Midnight Milky Way due to it being dark chocolate,
you will be surprised to know that you are missing out on the best candy bar in the world. The two qualities that make Midnight Milky Way the best
candy bar are that it is healthier, and it has a perfect taste that everyone will love. You might ask how a Midnight Milky Way bar is healthier than
normal chocolate. The reason behind that is that it is made with dark chocolate, which contains less sugar than milk chocolate which gives it it's
bittersweet taste. You can eat more without feeling bad about all that sugar.
So, if dark chocolate is bittersweet, wouldn't that make the candy bitter? No, as

Milton Hershey Research Paper
Milton Hershey was born on September 13, 1857 in Derry Township, Pennsylvania to Henry Hershey and Veronica "Fanny" Snavely. Milton had one
younger sister named Serina Hershey, had died of Scarlet Fever when she was nine. Veronica had been a housekeeper for many people in her town
and Henry was a business man. Milton's childhood was spent trailing his father, when Henry did anything Milton was by his side learning and
experiencing new materials. When Milton was thirteen Henry decided to leave his family and follow his dream. Veronica became a single mother, living
in the street of Pennsylvania with her son Milton. Although Henry made this decision, Milton never lost contact with his dad and still respected him as
a person.

At first, Hershey didn't sell chocolate, he focused mainly on caramel and toffee. For six years, he worked fifteen hour work days making caramel
and toffee. At night, Milton walked around with a wheel barrel filled with his candy and sold it to the people in the town. Milton dedicated his
time to growing his business and making a name for himself. The shop didn't work out as well as he had hoped to. In its final years, Milton barely
sold anything, not many people stopped by to try his candy. Due to its failure, Milton wanted to leave the candy industry and pure a career
somewhere else. His family, especially his mom, encouraged him to continue on and follow his dreams. Milton later closed his small candy shop and
headed to the Midwest where, he met his father (D'Antonio, 11, 12,13,14,15). It had been almost five years since Milton saw his father last. They
reunited, while in Denver, Milton found a confectioner who was looking for help. Milton decided to apply for the job and he became the
confectioner's apprentice. While working as an apprentice, Hershey learned that adding fresh milk to caramel improved its

As a food product, chocolate provides most of the substances required for human nutrition, with roasted beans containing approximately 15 to proteins,

generally constitutes the highest component of ingredient cost, particularly for the premium quality chocolate segment. This high fat content is
derived from cocoa butter, which is also responsible for many of chocolate's distinctive characteristics, including its brittle, non–greasy texture at or

Milton Hershey's Accomplishments
Some people are born into success, others are taught to work hard and never give up on their dreams. People who work hard to achieve success are
inspirational, talented, and intelligent in their work; but they must be something more than their work. Milton S. Hershey was far more than just a
candy maker, he is a caring, intelligent, and generous man that revolutionized the way people ate chocolate forever.
Milton's childhood was not an easy one, his upbringing forged the foundation of his beliefs that enabled him to be such a hard working businessman
and chocolatier. "Milton Hershey was born on September 13, 1857, in Pennsylvania, to Veronica and Henry Hershey. He was born in a tiny community

Hershey had done many great things in his life but sadly all great things must one day end. "On October 13, 1945 Milton Hershey died at 10:00
A.M. in the Hershey Hospital," (Coyle, Millie Landis). But Milton did not leave behind just a changed world of sweets, he left behind an amazing
school that has helped hundreds of students since it was founded. "Milton and Catherine Hershey founded this school for orphaned boys in 1909,"
("Milton Hershey School"). Milton and Catherine were not able to have children of their own, so it is believed that is why they founded the school, on
top of Milton's giving nature. They did not only just found the school, though, Milton has continued to support it even to this day by devoting some of
the Hershey Chocolate Co.'s profits to the school. "Known today as the Milton Hershey School, the 10,000–acre institution provides housing and
education for nearly 1,000 boys and girls whose family life has been disrupted," ("Milton S. Hershey"). Milton has provided so much for so many
young kids and will continue to support them even though he passed away over 50 years ago. Milton's generosity while he was alive has enabled
many young people to have a better, more stable start in life than he did. Even after death, his generosity continues to affect the lives of

The Drosophila melanogaster is one of genetics most studied organisms. This is due to the Drosophila melanogaster being an excellent model
organism. The Drosophila melanogaster has a short lifespan and is genetically similar to humans (Adams 2000). This experiment had three major
goals. The first goal of this experiment was to determine which eye colors, body colors and wing type are dominant or recessive. The second goal was
to determine if the gene for eye colors, body colors and wing type are on an autosomal or a sex chromosome. The third goal was to determine if eye

Correlation Between Food And Sucrose
First off, let's explore the two sugars that are consumed the most. The first is sucrose. Sucrose is the sugar that we inquire on our kitchen tables and
use to sweeten bland foods such as cereal and coffee to help brighten the taste. What many people may not know is that the prepackaged meals we
are making for a quick lunch or dinner are loaded with sucrose. Sucrose if heated very carefully and at the right temperature will turn into caramel.
This process is called caramelization as the crystallized sucrose breaks down into several different sugar types it will give you the taste and color of
caramel (Lustig). The next time you eat a bullseye or have a caramel covered apple you will be prone to knowing that you are consuming straight

Play By Anita Act 2 Analysis
1)Misto motivation to write to play was that five decades the Government was silence about the Women's incarceration and their horrific experiences
inside the prison camps. The fact that the nurses were not recognised for their contributions in WW2, made Misto more frustrated and motivated to write
the play. He wanted to build a memorial to commemorate the works of the women but did not have the power to build one, and therefore it he wrote a
play instead.
2)The historical context of the play is based on WW2, as the Japanese forces invaded Singapore in 1941. (Which was one of Britain's treasures at the
time). Australian and British forces worked together to fight of the Japanese from advancing. As a result of this war many people were captured by
the Japanese forces and put into POW camps, (especially women and children), where they were tortured and killed.
3)Two characters, representing an Australian Catholic nurse (Bridie) and the other a young British school girl (Sheila), that are commemorated for
their contributions in WW2 and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The setting throughout the play runs on two locations, the TV studio and the motel room. The TV studio is a depersonalised, formal space shown by
the 'On air' sign indicating that what is being heard is being recorded and filmed. The interview makes Bridie and Sheila more cautious of what they
tend reveal to the public as effective stage directions reveals that Sheila feels nervous and uncomfortable, to share her experiences. On the other hand,
the motel generates a different tension as emotional disclosures take place; where their comments are more acrimonious and hurtful. Misto uses the
interplay between of these two locales to provide the audience a historical documentation of wartime suffering, through a very personal and emotional
story of two women that have kept their experiences a secret for 50

M & M: The Chocolate Layer Of Cream
The most iconic candy bar today is the Snickers bar, after recently having passed M&M. Introduced in 1930 by Mars, it quickly became one of the
most popular candies on the market. The layer of creamy nougat, the layer of peanuts embedded in caramel, and the smooth milk chocolate coating
harmonize to create a mouthwatering dessert. Each part of this chocolate bar is essential to the flavor and overall experience of the dessert. The first
thing that a consumer sees when choosing a candy bar is the wrapper. The typeface of the letters that make up the word "SNICKERS" is large, bold,
all capitalized, and fills up almost the entire front of the wrapper. The background of the wrapper is brown, foreshadowing the silky chocolate that
the customer will see upon unwrapping the chocolate bar. If this font were not as powerful, smaller, or lowercase the wrapper would not stand out
from the rest of the chocolate bars. The red, white, and blue color of the word "SNICKERS" on the front of the wrapper also reminds a customer of
their country, as the bar was first manufactured in the USA and UK, instilling a sense of pride when they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The four main parts of the bar are the chocolate coating, the nougat, the peanuts, and the caramel. Let us first focus on the chocolate coating portion
of the candy bar, for it is the first ingredient that a person experiences. The chocolate used in the standard Snickers bar is a sweet milk chocolate. If a
dark chocolate or white chocolate were used, it would be too bitter or too sweet, taking away from the overall experience. The bitterness of the dark
chocolate would clash with the other ingredients, while white chocolate would overpower the entire bar. The amount go chocolate used is perfect;
using too much chocolate would overwhelm the bar, making it too sweet, and too little would cause the caramel and nougat inside to attack the mouth
of the consumer too

Cr Jerome Brulee Research Paper
CrГЁme brulee is an custard from France that translates into burnt cream, but what is unusual about this custard is it has a thin layer of burnt sugar
not cream. Now some people have never even tried it, and for those people who are in love with most of the time have it at a restaurant and want to
be able to make it at home. But they feel like since it is from France and has a fancy name it must be a very complicated recipe, but just have to know
how to do two important steps. The two critical steps when composing crГЁme brulee are separating egg yolks, and bruleeing the sugar.
Probably the most important step when making crГЁme brulee is separating the egg yolks from the egg whites. The yolk is the yellow center and the
white is liquid around it. The first step in separating the center from the white is to get a trash can so the whites can just fall right in for easy clean up.

The first thing to do is take the custard out of the fridge and take a teaspoon of sugar and sprinkle a thin layer over the firmed up custard. Next grab a
cooking torch and a can of butane gas, tilt the torch upside down and insert the tip of the butane and push down it, and continue this for about thirty
seconds, which should be enough to fill the torch. Now for the fun part, pick up the ramekin and be sure to hold it from the bottom that way there will
be no burns of the fingers or hands. Then turn on the cooking torch and start bruleeing the sugar, and to ensure that the caramel will not burn, rotate the
ramekin and slightly tilt them to get the edges of the custard, and the end result is a thin layer of hardened caramel, then it is ready to enjoy. The
importance of bruleeing the caramel is because this step differentiates crГЁme brulee from regular custard of flan. It also adds another texture to the
dish making it two dimensional instead of one

How Does Hershey Impact The World
The Hershey Company is the leading North American manufacturer of quality chocolate, non–chocolate confectionery, and chocolate–related grocery
products. The company is also a leader in the gum and mint manufacturer category as well. In this paper, I will discuss the history of the Hershey
Company and the impact it has on the United States and the rest of the world.
Milton Snavely Hershey was an American confectioner, philanthropist, and founder of The Hershey Chocolate Company and the "company town" of
Hershey, Pennsylvania. He was born on September 13, 1857 to Veronica "Fanny" Snavely and Henry Hershey in Derry Church, Pennsylvania. The
Snavely family were a well–to–do Mennonite family. His father, Henry Hershey, never stayed anywhere very long and was prone to leaving his wife
and child for long periods of time.
Following a four–year apprenticeship to a Lancaster, Pennsylvania, candy maker, Milton Hershey was apprenticed at the age of 15. In 1876,
Hershey attempted to start his own candy business in Philadelphia. Despite six years of hard work, it failed. So, he moved to Denver and found work
with a confectioner who taught him how to make caramels using fresh milk. He then started a second candy business in New York City, it also failed.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Wet Candy
Wet Caramel
Sugar + enough water to moisten the sugar.
Start Heating the Pan (115–120oC)
Use a wet pastry brush to eliminate sugar crystals
As the amber brown colour appears turn the heat to medium
Add any other ingredient's if required.
Start string the mixture
Once final required colour is attained stop cooking and Pour in moulds
CARAMEL AND CRYSTALLIZATION
When a wet caramel is made, first we make a sugar syrup which is sugar dissolved in water. The water evaporates as heating process continue to make
caramel, the syrup becomes super–saturated, which means that it holds more sugar molecules than the normal capacity of water. Due to this, the sugar
tries to re–crystallize. If this happens, final product ends up with a pan full of clear rock candy. In order to avoid this, we have to make sure pan is
spotlessly clean. Sugar molecules have jagged edges and can easily stick to each other or to the impurities from the pan. A tool is required to stir
caramel, which may contain impurities leading to crystallization, some people also say that stirring in itself (after the sugar has dissolved) can cause
the sugar syrup to crystallize, as stirring encourages the sugar molecules to clump together. So instead, 'swirling' the pan is another option

As the sugar and water boil, sugar syrup might fall on the wall of the pot, where it evaporates very fast and thus forming back into sugar crystals.
Even if one of these crystals falls back into the syrup, it can cause a chain reaction, which turns the clear syrup opaque and grainy. This can be
avoided by removing it from the heat, adding a few tablespoons of water, returning it to the heat, and stirring until the crystals dissolve before
continuing on However, it's better to keep recrystallization from occurring in the first place, so there are a few ways to prevent

Descriptive Essay On Cafe
The Lokal
In my ceaseless visits to new cafes that seem to be sprouting every other day in this tiny island, it is only natural that I won't like some. But it is also
natural to have a favourite one that shines.
That's The Lokal.
This newly opened Aussie–inspired cafГ© along Neil Road is not your normal stop–by dining spot. I was welcomed by the casual retro interior and
comforting natural light shining in from the French windows, one step into it and I had my heart on sleeve already. The open–concept kitchen where

The Absorption of Digested Food in Epithelial Cells

  • 1. Epithelial Food Lab Purpose How is digested food in the intestine absorbed into epithelial cells? Research Caramel is an intermediate product of a carbohydrate that is being decomposed by heat. It has many different compositions, all under the same name of "caramel", depending on the carbohydrate it originated from. Caramel is a large molecule when compared to the other two major molecules in the experiment, glucose and phosphoric acid, so therefore it is least likely to diffuse through the dialysis tube membrane. However, in a study done by the American Pharmaceutical Association, it was shown that caramel can slowly pass through a dialysis tube membrane over the course of many hours, provided that the water is changed or the bag is placed in running water.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The results of the experiment support the first part of my hypothesis, as even from the one minute mark, the BTB test returned a result of acidic, which indicates that there was phosphoric acid in the distilled water. If the phosphoric acid hadn't moved through the dialysis tubing's membrane, then the water would have been neutral. My first hypothesis was also correct in that I predicted that the caramel molecules wouldn't be able to permeate the bag. As there was no visible change in the color of the water in the test tube, which diffusion of caramel would cause, the caramel was not able to pass through the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hershey was a revolutionary, he was caring and generous while also building an amazing chocolate empire that has changed the way sweets are eaten in America forever. Milton's hard childhood and his early business troubles gave him a hard working nature that aided him throughout his career. When running the Hershey Chocolate Company he continued the tradition of hard work and he would pay it forward to his employees by working around hardships that faced them and their families. This belief played a major role after he had found success in the caramel business and was presented with a new challenge, chocolate. When he was building his chocolate business he built it on the foundation of his values, constantly promoting hard work and in turn giving it back to his workers. • 4. The Importance Of A Good Cafe Place The definition of a good cafГ© place is not only about its drink or food, but also about its environment and the employee's service attitude. I have been to many places to buy coffee in Starbucks, and I have to say I really enjoy the Starbucks in MU in my school. The background of the Starbucks is very interesting. "The first Starbucks opened in Seattle, Washington, on March 30, 1971, by three partners who met while they were students at the University of San Francisco. The three were inspired to sell high–quality coffee beans and equipment by coffee roasting entrepreneur Alfred Peet after he taught them his style of roasting beans. The company took the name of the chief mate in the book Moby–Dick: Starbuck, after considering "Cargo House" and "Pequod" Nowadays, the company has been in North America, Latin America, Europe, and the other 37 countries, with more than 12,000 coffee shop and more than 117,000 employees. The location of Starbucks is in the northwest corner of Memorial Union. Although the location is not in the middle of Memorial Union, it near by the Hayden Library and there is a small square outside. People can find lots of places to sit and avoid the sunshine under the shadow of the small square. Also there is a small platform in the center of the small square, and some bands always perform there. People can enjoy the coffee and some beautiful songs at the same time while sitting outside the Starbucks. There are about 30 desks outside, and some big parasols ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. My Favorite Experience "THEY HAVE CARAMEL POPCORN," I yelled to my friends. They didn't seem to care, but on an elementary field trip there is always so much going on that even caramel popcorn can seem boring. We were in the old student building of the University of Washington and the lunches were blowing my mind. Compared to the reheated–by–microwave slop they plopped on my tray everyday back at school, this cafeteria was a feast for the gods. I knew I had to go here someday, if only to be able to get caramel popcorn every day for lunch. Despite not recognizing the brilliant architecture, wonderful academics, and prestigious reputation, I think I had my priorities right as a kid. The popcorn, to be fair, was delicious. However, about seven years later, I stared at the beautiful library thinking on how I would never be able to go. My dreams were crushed, and the school I looked so forward to going to was not feasible. I felt like a failure. I sat near a turned off Drumheller Fountain late at night reflecting on how I failed to reach my goal. My ADHD prevented me from not only doing well in school but it started affecting even the things I enjoyed to do. I couldn't even finish a book without being distracted. Add on top of that was my brother needed my help because of his epilepsy. Many times before a final test in class, I'd spend the night in a hospital with him. To top everything off, I had to question who I was as I realized I was gay. I felt like I had to hide myself from the world for fear of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The layer of creamy nougat, the layer of peanuts embedded in caramel, and the smooth milk chocolate coating harmonize to create a mouthwatering dessert. Each part of this chocolate bar is essential to the flavor and overall experience of the dessert. The first thing that a consumer sees when choosing a candy bar is the wrapper. The typeface of the letters that make up the word "SNICKERS" is large, bold, all capitalized, and fills up almost the entire front of the wrapper. The background of the wrapper is brown, foreshadowing the silky chocolate that the customer will see upon unwrapping the chocolate bar. If this font were not as powerful, smaller, or lowercase the wrapper would not stand out from the rest of the chocolate bars. Start Heating the Pan (115–120oC) Use a wet pastry brush to eliminate sugar crystals As the amber brown colour appears turn the heat to medium Add any other ingredient's if required. Start string the mixture Once final required colour is attained stop cooking and Pour in moulds CARAMEL AND CRYSTALLIZATION When a wet caramel is made, first we make a sugar syrup which is sugar dissolved in water. The water evaporates as heating process continue to make caramel, the syrup becomes super–saturated, which means that it holds more sugar molecules than the normal capacity of water. Due to this, the sugar tries to re–crystallize. If this happens, final product ends up with a pan full of clear rock candy. In order to avoid this, we have to make sure pan is spotlessly clean. Sugar molecules have jagged edges and can easily stick to each other or to the impurities from the pan. A tool is required to stir caramel, which may contain impurities leading to crystallization, some people also say that stirring in itself (after the sugar has dissolved) can cause the sugar syrup to crystallize, as stirring encourages the sugar molecules to clump together. So instead, 'swirling' the pan is another option What ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But it is also natural to have a favourite one that shines. That's The Lokal. This newly opened Aussie–inspired cafГ© along Neil Road is not your normal stop–by dining spot. I was welcomed by the casual retro interior and comforting natural light shining in from the French windows, one step into it and I had my heart on sleeve already. The open–concept kitchen where one could see the chefs in action gave off the feeling of authenticity, a good break away from the countless typical and pretentious cafes that have sprouted in recent years. The homemade mildly sour yogurt sauce was what set this apart from the others out there – mild acidity contrasted the sweetness of the banana bread from its bath in toffee syrup and those perfectly caramelized ripe but firm bananas toppings. The contrast added an interesting twist for my sweetened buds. Little details matter and the additional toasted macadamias gave this a natural goodness, and the texture of the bread was perfectly dense, just the way I like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
