NAME: 
3. Read the sentences and with the help of the picture circle the correct option. 
A. The POST OFFICE is next to / on the corner / on S. John’s School. 
B. The BOOKSHOP is on the corner / next to / between the chemist’s and the 
clothes shop. 
C. The FLOWER SHOP is between / on / on the corner. 
D. The GREENGROCER’S is in / next to / between the butcher’s.
Activity 1: Complete with the names of the places missing. 
Students will be given a photocopy with a picture of a town where they have to put the 
names of places according to the drawings they see. 
Activity 2: Read, match and write the sentences. 
Give students a photocopy in which they have pictures of places and spaces below them to 
write sentences saying what you can do in those places. 
In order to do so, the photocopy also has a chart of three columns: the first one contains 
“You can”, the second one a verb phrase such as, “eat a meal”, and in the third one the 
place: “at the restaurant.” Using this, they will have to form the sentences. 
Activity 3: Read the sentences and with the help of the picture circle the correct 
option. 
The photocopy will have a picture of places in a block, and sentences such as: “The toy 
shop is next to / on the corner / on of Main Street and Palm Road”, so the students have to 
look at the picture and decide which is the correct option.
