With over 25 years’ experience at Recymet Systems we are experts in
recycling special metals and alloys.
Understanding the “know-how” of the market has enabled us to provide our
suppliers with an optimal offer taking into consideration their needs and achieving
the highest level of quality expected.
As revert managers, we have the capacity of providing our customers with the
product that adapts best to their needs and requirements. Quality is fundamental
to our business as it is the key in guaranteeing that our scraps are prepared and
ready to be sold as substitutes of raw materials.
Our mission is to continuously improve our services consolidating our status
domestically and internationally so we can fulfil our customer’s needs.
Within our organisational model, our aim is to achieve excellence though the
daily input and efforts of our young team of professionals – with a median age of
35 – that brings to our company a forward-thinking insight and an endless future
of possibilities.

3. It was during 1988 when Mr Joaquim Sindreu, owner of Recymet Systems, made the first contact in
the recycling industry.
Years later and during the financial crisis of 1992, Mr Sindreu associated with Mr Modesto Freijedo,
with whom he started and developed the first commercial activities that lead to the origin of
“Recymet Systems”, back then was named “Sindreu Ltda.”.
In 1996, the partners decided to buy a 500 m2’ warehouse along with Mr. Joan Casals, one of the
most experienced people in the area of Catalonia in the metal recycling sector. Along with Mr Casals,
the partners bought a warehouse that was attached to the new premises.
Since 2011, Recymet has been located at new, spacious and modern premises in Rubí consisting
of 16.500 m2
of warehouse along with other warehouse units in Amorebieta (Basque Country),
Seville and an office in Madrid. Recymet has trade representation in the United Kingdom, France and
China from where domestic and international purchases and sales are made. Moreover, commercial
transactions are made to different international areas such as USA, Canada, Turkey, Portugal, the
whole of Europe and South America.
The company has good financial health by managing and commercialising steels and special
alloys of all sorts, Ni base, titanium, tungsten carbide, zinc, most of them deriving from the aircraft,
motor and petrochemical industries. These materials have an added value but require very specific
knowledge in order to produce good margins compared to other more common types of metals.
Recymet offers the possibility of analysing and guaranteeing the material’s quality deducting the
metallic yield of the same, important fact used by the steel industry and steel producers.
Recymet today has the loyalty of its suppliers who supply materials knowing they will get the best
price proposal. This is possibly due to the fact that Recymet is able to work honestly, promptly and
efficiently.
At the company’s premises, exhaustive classification and quality checks are made of all the
material that are traced in batches trough modern computer technology. This technology allows to
identify the updated stock availability and which items are still yet to arrive and be stored.
Recymet is endorsed by the BIR, the FER, the Recycling Trade of Catalonia, the Catalan Waste
Agency, the Basque Country’s Government and the Andalusian Committee. In addition, holds an
AQSIQ licence to export to China. Recymet holds an ISO 9001 certification in regards to the way the
quality systems are managed and an ISO 14001 in regards to the way the environmental systems
are managed.
All the above shows a positive strong indicator of the daily work done at Recymet.

4. Processesandmaterials
Thanks to the experience gained, our new premises, the technology we use and the
knowledge of our team, Recymet has a controlled and defined schedule of procedures
resulting in a continuous improvement in the quality and management of its activity.
The activity of Recymet begins with the identification and evaluation of the waste
in its origin, that is to say, at the premises where the waste has been produced initially.
Afterwards this waste will be collected by the appropriate transportation method until it
arrives to our premises where it will be classified, analysed and its quality will be checked
and determined.
The material’s quality and market price will position its optimal valuation.
Always meeting the requirements of our customers, the materials are prepared and packed
to finally be transported to the premises of the end user.

5. Recymet is conscious of its actions towards the environment and therefore has
established strong values that are a quality framework to accomplish environmental
standards:
• Strictly meets with all the legal requirements applicable to its activity and the ones
related to the environment.
• Keeps good relations with the entrepreneurial environment. This is why despite Recymet
being located in a very industrial area, the company aims to avoid any disruptions caused
by its own activity by always keeping the hygiene and order standards.
• Works to improve the systems thus achieving a higher percentage of recycled materials.
• Management undertakes regular audits in order to improve its Integral Management
System. Compliance with this policy is undertaken and kept between all workers at the
organisation.
• Understands and achieves customer’s and supplier’s satisfaction, always attending their
needs and expectations before and after the product’s delivery; this is the best way to
accomplish customer’s and supplier’s satisfaction along with the quality of the materials
and the services provided.
Qualityenvironment
Recymet Systems holds 33 3/2011 and 715/2013 certifications thanks to complying
with art. 6 European Union Council’s Regulation – holds the criteria for which some metal
scraps (Al, Steel and Cu) stop being considered waste as per the European Parliament and
2008/98/CE Directive.
