2. Why Science
I
like science because it is a systematic
enterprise that builds and
organizes knowledge in the form of
testable explanations and predictions
about the universe.
3. Science
In modern usage, "science" most often refers to a
way of pursuing knowledge, not only the
knowledge itself. It is also often restricted to those
branches of study that seek to explain the
phenomena of the material universe.[6] In the 17th
and 18th centuries scientists increasingly sought to
formulate knowledge in terms of laws of
nature such as Newton's laws of motion. And over
the course of the 19th century, the word "science"
became increasingly associated with the scientific
methoditself, as a disciplined way to study the
natural
world, including physics, chemistry, geology and bi
ology
4. History of Science
The history of science is the study of the historical
development of science and scientific
knowledge, including both the natural sciences and social
sciences. (The history of the arts and humanities are termed
as the history of scholarship.) From the 18th century through
late 20th century, the history of science, especially of the
physical and biological sciences, was often presented in a
progressive narrative in which true theories replaced false
beliefs.[1] More recent historical interpretations, such as
those ofThomas Kuhn, portray the history of science in more
nuanced terms, such as that of competing paradigms or
conceptual systems in a wider matrix that includes
intellectual, cultural, economic and political themes
outside of science.[2]
5.
Science in a broad sense existed before
the modern era, and in many
historical civilizations, but modern science is so
distinct in its approachand successful in
its results that it now defines what science is in
the strictest sense of the term.[9] Much earlier
than the modern era, another important
turning point was the development of
classical natural philosophy in the ancient
Greek-speaking world.
6. Who discovered Science?
The
word "Science" was first used by
William Vevels.
Its hard to say exactly when science was
found but it stared when they ask why is
the sky blue and where does life come
from.
