Please provide a biographical paper of 1000 to 2000 words, double-spaced Times New
Roman or Courier 12pt font, on a person in the film industry (1940-1975). It can be an
actor, filmmaker, producer, writer, composer, agent, designer or any member of the crew.
Use the Hero’s Journey screenplay structure to organize your biography. What was your
subject’s inciting incident, Call to Adventure, Road of Trials, Belly of the Whale/ Turning
Points, Seizing the Sword, All Seems Lost/Atonement, and Let Go moments? (see Film

actor’s names when discussing characters in a film.Write in present tense when discussing
events that take place in the film. Use past tense when referring to actual events. Avoid
repeating words in the same or consecutive sentences. Alternate proper names with
pronouns.Avoid writing in the passive voice. Subject and verb should be in the first half of
the sentence. We always want to know WHO is doing the action in the beginning. Keep plot
descriptions to a minimum.5 pts – Thesis and/or Central question is clearly stated and goes

yourself as an investigative journalist trying to find out, who, what, when, why, how,
something started, developed succeeded, failed, or comments on something in

adequate evidence presented. Always give specific examples, including pictures from your
film (screenshots inserted with wrap-around text)A strong history paper asks a central
question and draws on many sources. Consider possible criticisms to your points of and
questions to further consider on your topic.5pts – Tone of the paper is formal and academic.
No personal pronouns. No “I” statements. Your paper should not be about YOU. Write in
Third-person. No qualitative words like, “amazing” or “masterpiece” or “You really need to
see this one.” Stick to the content, your thesis, and evidence to support your argument.
