1. COMP6214 Project 2
Answers:
1. Objective
In order to achieve the project deliverables, the requirements need to be analysed in a
proper manner. This report is intended to document the finding associated with the
requirement along the way to reach the deliverables. After analysing and studying CRM
applications, it has been highlighted that CRM application could be integrated with different
system to yield effective result. Such idea has enabled the requirement to provide such
functionality in the CRM application for futtering company. The objective of the solution is
to provide an effective management over the customer relationship which would fill the gap
facing by the Company. Additionally, the report will also measure the benefits of such
integrated system over traditional system.
1.1 Requirement
In order to develop the CRM application, firstly a strategy needs to be established which
must be agreed by the both parties. The futtering company’s executives will be responsible
for creating the quote and request for proposal (RFP), which will reviewed by the
developing team’s Business analyst. After mutual acceptances of such document, the
contract will start.
After analysing the document, the developing team will implement the strategies by
evaluating the architecture of the project. Process of researching and discovering strategic
possibilities, selecting the most promising, and deciding how resources will be deployed
across the organisation to meet objectives is the fundamental aspect of strategy
development.
For this project the workload will divided to four personals.
1.2 Development
For developing the web-based system certain platform will be utilized by every personal.
Those platforms will provide easy tools, techniques and integration support to design the
2. project.
The front-end site of the design will be built with HTM, CSS and JS. In the back-end SQL and
PHP will be used to access data in both ways.
1.2.1 Deployment Of The Project
The software development life cycle ends with the deployment phase, which puts the
product into production. The product is fully operational after the project personals has
tested it and it has passed each testing phase. This indicates that the product seems to be
ready for all end users to utilise in a real-world setting.
The project team instals the software and runs another test to verify a successful
installation during the procedures and preparation phase. After the software is installed,
the project team prepares operational procedures, which include instructions on how to use
the software in an information technology environment. If there are problems with the
system, the operating instructions also include a mitigation plan to assist the end user in
resolving the problem.
1.3 Effectiveness Of The System
The incorporation of company operations into CRM yields demonstrable results.
Users will be able to follow uniform procedures, and operational bottlenecks will be
eliminated.
When a company embarks on this path, more improvements – rather than devoting
personnel to limited tasks – can be embedded into the CRM's scope.
The CRM system will keep track of all the connections and gathers lead and stakeholders’
data to create profiles of everyone you work with.
This allows the company to quickly access critical data to better understand consumer
behaviour, such as purchase records and previous discussions with contacts via various
channels.
1.4 Complexity Of The Project
During the devolvement of project some common complexity has occurred which could
have hindered the development speed and affect project deliverables.
Interrelationships: the interrelationship among the team members have created some issue
due to different ideology over same topic.
3. Communication: The communication between the team members were also an issue as
different part of the development is done by different member.
Dynamics: complexity appear from hidden, unknown factors which were not planned or
anticipated during the project plan.
Integration: The integration of front end and back end of the project was a major issue
faced by the members.
1.5 Planning And Analysis:
While developing the project the plan and final solution has been compared by using gap
analysis.
In terms of analysis, a gap analysis compares a current condition with a prospective state.
Resource planning, capital investment, technology, and other factors all have an impact on
performance. A gap analysis identifies the gaps between the optimal resource allocation and
integration and the existing resource allocation level.
It is only through taking such measurements that a route to betterment may be paved.
To do so, the members figure out, record, and improve the current gap between
requirements and capabilities. Real-time statistics helped the team to better understand
how the project is progressing.
