Nitroglycerin use for angina relief
- 1. DIRECTIONS This medicine is called: NITROGLYCERIN It is for the relief of chest pain (Angina). Keep this medicine with you at all times.
- 3. Do not chew or swallow the tablet. Do not eat, drink or smoke while the tablet is in your mouth. If the pain is the same or becomes worse after 5 minutes - call 911.
- 4. However, if the pain has let up but not left you , place another tablet under your tongue. Wait five minutes, i f the pain is not completely gone, call 911.
- 5. ( If you are taking this medication to prevent chest pain that you may have during an activity, take it 5 to 10 minutes before you start the activity. )
- 6. Follow your doctor ’ s instructions on how to use this product to decrease the risk that the medication will become less effective over time. If this medication stops working well, let your doctor know.
- 7. Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor. Your condition may become worse when the medication is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.
