● This can sometimes easily be missed
and can become serious for baby if not
brought early

● Sucks less or poorly
● May not stay awake
long to feed on
breast
● Does not act hungry

● Normally babies sleep a

● Usually alert when

feeding

13. Red swollen eye with pus
● Eyelids swollen red
with yellow pus
drainage
● Severe-eye cannot be
open due to pus
