This document provides an overview of the Aviation Institute of Management, including a brief introduction, historical context on Muslims and aviation, and recommendations. It discusses how aviation relates to some tenets of Islam, untapped potential in Shariah-compliant airlines, and Quranic verses predicting aviation. The document also includes anecdotes from the author and profiles prominent Muslim figures in aviation history like Ibn Firnas and Hezârfen Ahmed Çelebi. It examines concepts like the protective sky, iron originating from outer space, and the sun's orbit as described in ancient texts.

“Proud legacies and treasures of the
past have to be protected, but old laurels do
not stay fresh unless
nurtured by an urge for new achievements”

Ibn Firnas is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. In 1976 it was
named after Abbas Ibn Firnas, a polymath from Andalucia who, in the 9th century,
devised a chain of rings that is used to simulate the motions of the planets and stars.
Abu al-Qasim Abbas ibn Firnas ibn Wirdas al-Takurini
18. Hezârfen Ahmed Çelebi
He has a great reputation in Turkey as an inspiration for future
generations of aviators.

Sky’s protection
The sky protects the earth from the lethal rays of the sun. If the sky did
not exist then the sun’s radiation would have killed off all life on earth. It
also acts like a blanket wrapped around the earth.
We have discovered the Ozone layer in 1903 by French scientist
Charles Fabry
“We made the sky a protective ceiling. And yet they are turning away
from Our signs!” (Quran 21:32)
24. o Iron is not natural to the earth. It did not form on the earth
but came down to earth from outer space.
o This may sound strange but it’s true. Scientists have
found that billions of years ago the earth was stuck by
meteorites. These meteorites were carrying Iron from
distant stars which had exploded (M. Walrath, History of the
Earth’s Formation)
o “We sent down Iron with its great inherent strength
and its many benefits for humankind.” (Quran 57:25)

Sun’s orbit
The belief that the Sun is stationary was widespread
amongst astronomers until the 20th century. It is
now a well-established scientific fact that the Sun is not
stationary, but is moving in an orbit around the
centre of our Milky Way galaxy.
“It is He who created night and day, the sun and the moon,
each floating in its orbit.”[Quran, 21:33]
