Crane accidents occur with regularity because of various factors, including but not limited to, inexperience with type and size of the crane, lifting the load, environmental conditions, maintenance and repair, inadequate training and education, and poor operator skills. Rigging is equally important as the crane selection. Riggers need to understand the load rating and type of slings need to lift the load properly. This course will help construction workers understand many of these issues. The course is part of a larger segment on crane safety.
