Father Luke Melackrinos is the priest at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul. Under the guidance of Fr. Luke Melackrinos, many vibrant Christ-Centered Ministries were initiated and re-initiated at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Some of them are: St. Paul's Nursery School- to care and educate three to four years old children based outside New York City; Vacation Church School- which embraces the teachings and traditions of Orthodox Christianity; and the Little Angles Program- that provides preschool classes for toddlers (2, 3 & 4 year old).

Father Luke Melackrinos is the priest at the Greek Orthodox
Cathedral of St. Paul. Under the guidance of Fr. Luke
Melackrinos, many vibrant Christ-Centered Ministries were
initiated and re-initiated at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Some of

Father Luke Melackrinos regularly serves at the Mary
Brennan Inn, a soup kitchen serving the local Hempstead
community. Every Saturday morning, he organizes a food run
which feeds over 100 needy people in Hempstead.
About Father Luke Melackrinos
Father Luke Melackrinos completed his Masters of Divinity
from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology class of
2003. He was ordained to the Diaconate on March 31, 2002 by
Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco at the Greek Orthodox
Church of St. George in Bethesda, Maryland. Later on, Fr. Luke
Melackrinos was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on the feast day
of St. Kosmas of Aitolos on August 24, 2003 by Metropolitan
Gerasimos at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul. He has
initiated and re-initiated many Christ-Centered Ministries, and has
served the community by volunteering for many local
communities. He is married to Marusia (Podhurec), the daughter

2. of a Ukrainian Orthodox priest and has three children Eleni,
Magdalena, and Mia. He loves spending time with his wife and
children, and assists youth and adults by advising them on their
issues.
