MOLSAMission
MOLSA exists to empower the Somaliland public
through the promotion of labor productivity for
improved social welfare; MOLSA will also ensure
inclusive society and integration of vulnerable
groups to the development and protection of
fundamental rights.
3. the Ministry has the mandate to develop human resources
and policies that foster good labor relations. The ministry’s
major function in this regard is to maximize the contribution
of the labor force to national output and income. The
employment policies are construed as part of the economic
development that aims to maximize labor-force participation
to achieve higher employment, augment employment in
preferred industries, promote vocational training, prevent
loss of work days, sponsor labor and social affairs
legislation, maintain sound labor relations, and regulate
occupational safety.

7. On the basis of current labor initiatives, MOLSA can
safely say that that Non State Actors in Somaliland has
the highest employment number of women. MOLSA will
finalize the registration of private sector employment
data, analyze and, promote policies that will engage in
promotion of women in mid and high positions that will
enable table to strengthen their economic situation.
Without the knowledge of private sector employment
data, MOLSA can not achieve its planned contribution to
the development of manpower in Somaliland.
