- Objectives: Eddie – Will talk briefly about: vxDocManager closely resembles DSS VA DocManager and allows a vxVistA site to control scanning and index existing paper based office/hospital documents. This system is a more rudimentary document imaging system as compared to our VA DocManager version and we have taken out many of the veteran data elements from the application. The database of choice for this system is a much more maintainable Cache based SQL database and comes with the license of vxVistA. A Microsoft SQL server requirement is not needed with this implementation of vxVistA DocManager; which means an on-site DBA (Database Administrator) is not required. Highlight: vxDocManager is a document scanning and indexing system that allows users to scan a variety of documents and electronically link them to the patient record. Key Features: • Simultaneously Creates Progress Note• Extremely Fast and Accurate Indexing to Increase Productivity• Index Document and Automatically Close Consults• Scan and View Clinical Documents• Production Scanning Solution; Batch Scanning• Centralized or Decentralized Scanning• Indexing for Sensitive/Urgent Documents• Electronically Capture Outside Patient Documents• Simultaneous access of data from multiple facilities
