2. Terminology
TOS (Time on Screen): The length of time an Image appears on screen.
Exposures: The number of occurrences in which the TV camera picks up the sign.
Sec/Exposure: The average number of consecutive seconds that a sign is on screen.
HH Imp (000): The expected number of TV impressions that the sign will deliver in the
team’s home market based upon the average number of HH viewers for the particular team.
Letter Size Index: The average total area that the largest letter or logo on a sign occupies
as compared to the average area that a letter occupies in broadcaster controlled text. For
example, a sign with a Letter Size Index of 120 delivers letters that are 20% larger, on
average, than the typical letters in a broadcaster controlled text.
Clutter Factor: The average number of signs that share screen time with the target sign
expressed as a fraction. For example, the target sign is one (1) out of four (4) signs that
typically share the screen. Expressed as 1/4.
