Developing a vision of social justice that truly includes an understanding and awareness of disability requires a significant shift in thinking for many educators. In schools disability is typically seen as something special that must be assessed, identified, and rehabilitated as opposed to just one of the many ways people can be different from one another (Marshall, C. & Oliva, pg. 175
3. The goal of any
educational institution
should be to help children
get educated so they can
function in today’s fast
paste society especially
children with disabilities.

6. Education is an essential part of a child’s life and it should be
provided equally regards of child’s disability status. There have been
several policies put in place to protect children with disability status
however; each school district is felling to provide an adequate, safe, and
fair learning environment for these children.
8. Educational Policy
• An educational policy I
would like to put in
place to improve the
social issues facing
children with disability
is not allowing the
school to take
disciplinary action by
disrupting the child’s
learning environment
with suspension.
9. Potential Barriers and Solutions
• Conversely teachers and
administrator have to
understand the fundamental
need of children with
disabilities.
• They might oppose the
policy based on continues
offense of the child
behavior.
• The overall wellbeing of the
child is at most importance.
• In school suspension would
be another solution.
11. Call To Action
• I urge Parents, social
workers, activist get
involve in their
community to insure the
success of children with
disability and advocate
for their human rights.
12. Conclusion
• It is sad to say children
with rigorous and intense
disabilities are often seen
as less valuable to receive
a proper and fair
education as other
children.
• Every child with a
disability deserves a
chance.
• Children with difficult
learning abilities has a
right to proper education
that is specially designed
to meet their needs, in a
school environment that is
like a general classroom
• Let’s do our part to make
a difference in a child’s
life.
