PROJECT 4 SCHEDULE
Crisis Communication
All work is due by 11:59 p.m. on the day indicated. Late assignments will lose
one letter grade (or the equivalent number of points) per day. All readings and
links are on the BbLearn Project4 page.
Due Date Complete the Following
Monday - Friday
1. Read Project 4 Assignment Sheet.
2. Watch the Project 4 Slidedocs 1, 2, and 3.
3. Research popular sources to choose a crisis event
that was not handled well by the business or
organization. The resources under “Links” are a good
place to start.
4. Read the Scholarly Articles to choose a frame
(organizing method) for your analysis.
5. Create a research dossier in Evernote (see Slidedoc
2) and gather excerpts from popular sources about
the event (specifically the information in Slidedoc 1,
slide 5) to populate your dossier.
6. Analyze the excerpts in your dossier.
7. Code the reader comments in your dossier using
Grounded Theory.
8. Draft your White Paper using IMRaD or modified
IMRaD structure (see Slidedoc 3, slides, 13 & 14)
using the research you gathered, analyzed, and
coded in your research dossier
Friday, 6/7
1. Post a draft of your White Paper in Peer Review:
White Paper blog.
Monday,6/10 1. Respond to a classmate’s draft White Paper.
Monday -
Wednesday
1. Revise your White Paper based on the feedback you
received.
2. Watch Project 4 Slidedocs (and videos) 4, 5, and 6.
3. Read the web article “How to Read Body Language”
under “Links”.
4. Choose a video of an apology to analyze. The
apology does not have to be related to the event for

your White Paper. It can be a completely different
issue.
5. Write a script of your screencast in which you analyze
the apology you chose.
6. Practice your script and record your screencast.
Wednesday, 6/12
1. Submit URL of draft screencast to Peer Review:
Screencast blog.
Thursday, 6/13 1. Respond to classmate’s Draft Screencast.
Sunday, 6/16
1. Revise your Screencast based on the feedback you
received.
2. Complete final revisions to your White Paper.
3. Submit Project 4 (White Paper, URL of Research
Dossier, and URL of Screencast) to Project 4
Submission Box.
