Group Vice President, Strategy and Innovation, Blackhawk Network
TIM ATTINGER leads Strategy and Corporate Development efforts for Blackhawk Network, with a focus
on Blackhawk’s Digital Platforms. He is in charge of connecting Blackhawk Digital and its robust retailer
network into numerous mobile and digital commerce platforms and partners. In this capacity, Digital
Services helps companies to leverage the increasing use of social media, mobile wallets, and other
digital payment apps to effectively deliver e-gift and prepaid card powered offerings. Leveraging his
extensive experience in digital platforms, Tim is securing partnerships with financial services, mobile
commerce, and social commerce companies like FiServ, mFoundry, and Wrapp. Prior to joining
Blackhawk Network, Tim was the Managing Director for Market Platform Dynamics where he advised
corporate executives on innovation and growth strategies in the mobile, social media, advertising, and
payments industries. Prior to MPD Tim was Visa’s Global Head of Product Innovation and Development,
where he helped lead the global restructuring and IPO for Visa Inc. At Visa Tim delivered on two major
roles: developing and managing Visa’s global digital business P&Ls, as well as building strong investor
and corporate partnerships. Under his leadership, Visa launched the first Android payments app,
established a global mobile partnership and investment with Monitise, launched a digital commerce
platform in Asia, and drove major partnerships with emerging markets remittance companies and
mobile operators.
