2. Introduction to EDII
• The Entrepreneurship Development
Institute of India (EDI) is an autonomous
and not-for-profit institute, set up in 1983,
is sponsored by the IDBI Bank Ltd, IFCI
Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd. and State Bank of
India (SBI). The government of Gujarat
pledged 23 acres of land on which stands

• Shri L Gopalakrishnan is Chairman of The Science & Technology
Entrepreneurial Park (STEP) . it was established in the year
1998 in Tamil nadu with the support from Department of
Science & Technology, Government of India, IDBI and ICICI at
PSG College of Technology to promote technology based
enterprises in the areas of software, electronic products, hi-
tech mechanical products, and eco-friendly textile products &
bio-technology using the core strengths of PSG College of
Technology and institutions.
