from the process of constructing the product?

2. I have learnt many things during the construction of our product such as the use of a video
camera, editing videos, publishing and making music. I also developed my skills on a apple mac as
it is what I used to construct my media product. The specific things are learnt are as of the
following:
Camera
• Different filming techniques
• How to use a tripod and what a tripod is used for
• How to film different types of shots (constructing these shots myself made me realize how it
has a big effect on the scene)
• How to use a video camera (playing back footage, connecting it to a computer to download all
the footage recorded)
Editing videos (iMovie, Final Cut Express)
• How to cut our parts
• Inserting footage into the software
• Arranging the footage in order
• How to create credits and insert it on top on the footage
• How to use transitions
• Putting music on top of the footage
Creating music (Garageband)
• Use the software
• Stretch the tune to any length
• Finding the right sound
• Finding the right instrument
• Saving it correctly as I made a mistake first because when I inserted it on iMovie on our
footage it did not work. I learnt from this mistake to save it correctly in the right format to be
able to be used in my movie.

3. Publishing
• How to create my own blog account
• Creating posts on my blog
• Adding videos to my blog (learnt the multiple ways there are to do this)
• Customizing my blog (e.g. layout)
• Uploading videos on YouTube
The process of constructing my media product
The process of creating my film opening included many stages. First it included a
preliminary task, this gave us experience for when we made our real thing as we can
learn from the mistakes we make and learn all the things we need to know in order to
construct a good movie opening.
We started of by planning what we wanted to do by getting in our group and coming up
with ideas for our film and noting them down. After coming up with a good storyline we
had a planning stage to help organize how we were going to construct our opening. This
consisted of a consume and prop list, opening scene script, cast list, storyboard, film
treatment/synopsis and a shot log. This planning benefited us as this helped organize
what exactly we needed to do and having the contents before constructing this made
the task much easier.
After this the process pretty much consisted of recording, acting, editing, using props,
making the scene to construct our movie opening.
