In view of Covid-19 pandemic, Canadian
government has taken various measures
regarding travel to Canada, etc. However,
despite these measures, Canada continues
to accept applications and open PNP draws

3. Canada is Accepting EOIs & Applications
via Express Entry
Despite the measures taken for Covid-19,
Canadian government is continuing to accept
the Canadian PR visa applications or EOIs
through Express Entry. It is also opening the EE
draws and inviting candidates to apply Canada
PR.
4. PNP Draws continue to invite
Candidates
Most Canadian Provincial Nominee Programs
(PNPs) are opening their periodic PNP draws as
usual and inviting the significant number of
candidates to apply for provincial nomination

5. Skilled Workers Are now Allowed to
Travel
The Skilled workers are now allowed to travel
to Canada, under Canadian Work Permit
program. However, the 14 days Quarantine rule
is applicable to all outside visitors to Canada.
6. Who is able to travel to Canada at this

The following will be able to travel to Canada
despite Covid-19 row:
Canadian citizens
Permanent residents
Immediate family of Canadian citizens and
permanent residents (spouses, common-law
partners, dependent children, grandchildren,
parent or step-parent, and guardian or tutor)
7. Who is able to travel to Canada at this
point- 2
Also, the following persons will be able to come to Canada,
however, as per IRCC, they cannot book their trips until they
get more details about the same, from the federal
government:
Permanent resident applicants who were approved for
permanent residence before Canada announced its travel
restrictions on March 16, 2020 but who had not yet
travelled to Canada
Temporary foreign workers
International students who held a valid study permit or who
had been approved for a study permit when Canada’s travel
restrictions took effect on March 18, 2020
8. Applicants with COPR
Canada is committed to accept PR visa applicants,
who were approved by IRCC for PR, prior to the
announcements of the travel restrictions by the
government on 16th March, 2020, however, had not
yet travelled to Canada.
If this condition is applicable to your case, you may
explore the IRCC official website for further
information, prior to booking your flight, or making
other travel arrangements. Moreover, please also
make note of this fact that the Canadian
government has suspended permanent resident
landing appointments until April 13, 2020.
9. Will Canada discontinue immigration?
No. In fact, the Canada is allowing the
applicants to submit an application for Canada
immigration. Moreover, Canadian government
has not issued any such statement that indicate
that the Covid-19 pandemic will affect its
annual immigration plan for 2020 or the
Multiyear Immigration Plan (2020-2022) any
way.
10. Applicants, who cant travel to Canada
at now
Such applicants, can fill the IRCC web form to let the
IRCC know the reason, why you can’t travel to
Canada at the moment.
Once restrictions are lifted in your country, or you
are in the position to travel, again use the web form
to confirm you current status to IRCC
