SUMMARY:
I have been working as a project manager for about 30 years. I collaborated with
many projects, investigations and applied researches in coastal management and
governance in Mediterranean countries and South America. I authored myself or
with colleagues several academic papers, book sections or pamphlets. I worked
for 8 years in Galapagos Island as internal facilitator of small-scale fisheries
cooperatives and I have been doing community work in poor coastal communities
for the past 7 years. I am a skilled facilitator and instructor and I love giving
inspirational training courses about organizational strengthening, natural resource
governance and leadership. Since 2001, I have been living in small fishing
communities of Ecuador.
I have been trained in management, economy, statistics, scuba-diving, scientific
field methods, conflict transformation, organizational analysis, philosophy and
facilitation. I love leading collaborative work and planning work group as I love
field work. I love facilitating ideas, processes and groups for its own
enlightenment. I am convinced that the horizontal and respectful interlocution with
stakeholders paid me back many times as a person.
