INTRODUCTION:
THERE ARE FOUR TYPES OF SPINNING SYSTEM
ARE COMMERCIALLY USED . THESE ARE:
1. TRADITIONAL RING SPINNING
2. ROTOR SPINNING
3. AIR-JET SPINNING
4. FRICTION SPINNING
AMONG THESE TYPES
OF SPG. SYSTEMS RING SPG. STANDS ALONG
AS REFERENCE TO HIGH QUALITY YARN
SUITABLE FOR ANY TYPE OF TEXTILE END
PRODUCT.
CONT.
BUT THE TECHNOLOGICAL LIMITATIONS OF RING SPINNING
IS:
1. THE DEPENDENE OF THE YARN LINEAR
SPEED (DELIVERY SPEED)ON THE
ROTATIONAL SPEED OF THE TRAVELLER.
2. THE CONTINUES NEED TO STABILIZE YARN
TENSION DURING SPG & THE DEPENDENCE
OF THIS STABILITY ON THE TRAVELLER
SPEED.
3. THE IMPACT OF TRAVELLER SPEED ON
FIBRE BEHAVIOUR IN SPG.TRIANGLE.
CONT.
OUR APPROACHIS TO REPLACE THE
TRAVELLER WITH A MAGNETICALLY
SUSPENDEDLIGHT WEIGHT ANNULAR
DISC WHICH IS ROTATESIN A
CAREFULLY PREDEFINEDMAGNETIC
FIELD. THIS WILL RESULT IN A SUPER
HIGH SPG. ROTATION THAT IS ROBUST
AGAINST ALL THE CURRENT
TRAVELLER SYSTEM. THE IDEA HERE IS
TO CREATE A NON-TOUCHING
ENVIRONMENTOF THE ROTATING
ELEMENT OF SPG. SYSTEM.
YARN TENSION IN MAGNETIC
SPG.:
CONVENTIONALRING SPG. SYSTEM (CRSS)
INVOLVES YARN MOVEMENT FROM
DELIVERY ROLLERS OF THE DRAWING
DEVICE TO THE WINDING POINT OVER
A COMPLEX PATH. FRICTIONAL FORCES
ARE GENERATED ON THE CONTACTED
PARTS OF THE SYSTEM. THESE FORCE
ARE FOUND B/W YARN & GUIDE, YARN
& CONTROL RING, YARN & TRAVELLER
AND TRAVELLER& RING.
CONT.
IN THE MAGNETIC SPG. SYSTEM(MSS)THE YARN PATH IS
DIVIDED FROM THE FRONT ROLLER TO BOBBIN IN TO
FOUR REGIONS. THE MSS INCLUDES THE SAME REGIONS
ANALYSED IN RING SPG. BUT ONLY REGION (iii) WILL
HAVE A DIFFERENT ANALYSIS DUE TO THE ABSENCE OF
THE TRAVELLER & RING CONFIGURATION.
TYPICAL MAGNETIC SYSTEM
GEOMETRY:
TYPICAL MAGNETIC SYSTEM IS COMPOSED OF
FOUR HORSESHOE-SHAPED
ELECTROMAGNETS. THE FOUR MAGNETS ARE
ARRANGED EVENLY AROUND A ROTOR THAT
IS TO BE LAVITATED. EACH OF THE
ELECTROMAGNET CAN ONLY PRODUCE A
FORCE THAT ATTRACTS THE ROTOR TO IT . THE
FOUR ELECTROMAGNETS MUST ACT IN
CONCERT TO PRODUCED A FORCE OF
ARBITRARY MAGNITUDE AND DIRECTION ON
THE ROTOR .
THE COILS MAY BE ARRANGED IN THE SAME PLANE OR NORMAL PLANE OF
THE ROTOR.
CONTROL SYSTEM OF MSS:
THE CONTROL SYSTEM CONSISTS OF THE
CONTROLLER,POWER AMPLIFIERS
AND A POWER SUPPLY. ADDITIONAL
CIRCUIT IS PRESENT FOR
CONDITIONINGOF THE SIGNALS FROM
THE POSTION SENSORS AND
CONVERSION OF THE DIGITAL OUTPUTS
FROM THE CONTROLLERTO THE
ANALOG AMPLIFIERS. CONTROL
SYSTEMS CAN BE OF THE ANALOG OR
DIGITAL TYPE.

PROCESSINGANDPERMIT MORE TYPES

ADVANTAGES OF MAGNETIC
SPG.:
1. MAGNETICSPG. FUNCTION WITH OUT
TRAVELLER SLIDING OVER THE
RING, SO THEREIS NO MECHANICAL
WEAR OR HEAT GENERATION.
2. HIGH SPEEDS OF THE ROTATING
MAGNETICALLY SUSPENDED DISC
ARE ATTENDABLE.(DEPENDSON
SPINDLE ROTATION SPEED )
3. FRICTION LOSES ARE MANY TIME
LESS THAN CRSS AND RESULT IN
LOWER OPERATING COST.

4. MAINTENANCE COSTS ARE LOW DUE TO
THE ABSENCE OF MECHANICAL WEAR.
5. YARN TENSION COULD BE MEASURED
BY MEASURING THE MAGNETIC FIELD
STRENGTH REQUIRE TO MAINTAIN THE
DISC CENTERED.
6. MAGNETIC SPG. OVERCOME ALMOST ALL
THE DEFECTS CAUSED BY THE RING
TRAVELLER SYSTEM WHICH ARE:

FOR BOBBIN
STRETCHEDANDWEAK
YARN, EXCESSIVE WEAR OF TRAVELLERS.
B- TRAVELLER TOO
LIGHT
YARN FRAYED BY WHIPPING AGAINST
SEPARATORS,SLACK TWIST IN YARN, SOFT
BOBBINS, ACCOUNT TOO LITTLE TENSION
OF THE LIGHT TRAVELLERS.
C- TRAVELLER TOO
HEAVY
STRETCHED & WEAK YARN, ENDS DOWN,
EXCESSIVE WEAR OF RINGS, CHAFED
YARN.
D- WORN
TRAVELLERS
ENDS DOWN, CHAFED & WEAK YARN.

  • 3. INTRODUCTION: THERE ARE FOUR TYPES OF SPINNING SYSTEM ARE COMMERCIALLY USED . THESE ARE: 1. TRADITIONAL RING SPINNING 2. ROTOR SPINNING 3. AIR-JET SPINNING 4. FRICTION SPINNING AMONG THESE TYPES OF SPG. SYSTEMS RING SPG. STANDS ALONG AS REFERENCE TO HIGH QUALITY YARN SUITABLE FOR ANY TYPE OF TEXTILE END PRODUCT.
  • 4. CONT. BUT THE TECHNOLOGICAL LIMITATIONS OF RING SPINNING IS: 1. THE DEPENDENE OF THE YARN LINEAR SPEED (DELIVERY SPEED)ON THE ROTATIONAL SPEED OF THE TRAVELLER. 2. THE CONTINUES NEED TO STABILIZE YARN TENSION DURING SPG & THE DEPENDENCE OF THIS STABILITY ON THE TRAVELLER SPEED. 3. THE IMPACT OF TRAVELLER SPEED ON FIBRE BEHAVIOUR IN SPG.TRIANGLE.
  • 5. CONT. OUR APPROACHIS TO REPLACE THE TRAVELLER WITH A MAGNETICALLY SUSPENDEDLIGHT WEIGHT ANNULAR DISC WHICH IS ROTATESIN A CAREFULLY PREDEFINEDMAGNETIC FIELD. THIS WILL RESULT IN A SUPER HIGH SPG. ROTATION THAT IS ROBUST AGAINST ALL THE CURRENT TRAVELLER SYSTEM. THE IDEA HERE IS TO CREATE A NON-TOUCHING ENVIRONMENTOF THE ROTATING ELEMENT OF SPG. SYSTEM.

  • 7. YARN TENSION IN MAGNETIC SPG.: CONVENTIONALRING SPG. SYSTEM (CRSS) INVOLVES YARN MOVEMENT FROM DELIVERY ROLLERS OF THE DRAWING DEVICE TO THE WINDING POINT OVER A COMPLEX PATH. FRICTIONAL FORCES ARE GENERATED ON THE CONTACTED PARTS OF THE SYSTEM. THESE FORCE ARE FOUND B/W YARN & GUIDE, YARN & CONTROL RING, YARN & TRAVELLER AND TRAVELLER& RING.
  • 8. CONT. IN THE MAGNETIC SPG. SYSTEM(MSS)THE YARN PATH IS DIVIDED FROM THE FRONT ROLLER TO BOBBIN IN TO FOUR REGIONS. THE MSS INCLUDES THE SAME REGIONS ANALYSED IN RING SPG. BUT ONLY REGION (iii) WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT ANALYSIS DUE TO THE ABSENCE OF THE TRAVELLER & RING CONFIGURATION.
  • 9. TYPICAL MAGNETIC SYSTEM GEOMETRY: TYPICAL MAGNETIC SYSTEM IS COMPOSED OF FOUR HORSESHOE-SHAPED ELECTROMAGNETS. THE FOUR MAGNETS ARE ARRANGED EVENLY AROUND A ROTOR THAT IS TO BE LAVITATED. EACH OF THE ELECTROMAGNET CAN ONLY PRODUCE A FORCE THAT ATTRACTS THE ROTOR TO IT . THE FOUR ELECTROMAGNETS MUST ACT IN CONCERT TO PRODUCED A FORCE OF ARBITRARY MAGNITUDE AND DIRECTION ON THE ROTOR .
  • 10. THE COILS MAY BE ARRANGED IN THE SAME PLANE OR NORMAL PLANE OF THE ROTOR.

  • 13. CONTROL SYSTEM OF MSS: THE CONTROL SYSTEM CONSISTS OF THE CONTROLLER,POWER AMPLIFIERS AND A POWER SUPPLY. ADDITIONAL CIRCUIT IS PRESENT FOR CONDITIONINGOF THE SIGNALS FROM THE POSTION SENSORS AND CONVERSION OF THE DIGITAL OUTPUTS FROM THE CONTROLLERTO THE ANALOG AMPLIFIERS. CONTROL SYSTEMS CAN BE OF THE ANALOG OR DIGITAL TYPE.
  • 14. CONT. BUT THE DIGITAL CONTROL SYSTEMS TAKE ADVANTAGEOF DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSINGANDPERMIT MORE TYPES OF ALOFGRITHMS& RESULTS TO BE ACHIEVED. TYPICAL SUB-SYSTEMSIN MAGNETICALLY SUSPENDEDDISC CONTROL INCLUDE POSITION SIGNAL PROCESSING, DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING, D/A CONVERSION POWER AMPLIFIERS AND POWER SUPPLY .

  • 16. ADVANTAGES OF MAGNETIC SPG.: 1. MAGNETICSPG. FUNCTION WITH OUT TRAVELLER SLIDING OVER THE RING, SO THEREIS NO MECHANICAL WEAR OR HEAT GENERATION. 2. HIGH SPEEDS OF THE ROTATING MAGNETICALLY SUSPENDED DISC ARE ATTENDABLE.(DEPENDSON SPINDLE ROTATION SPEED ) 3. FRICTION LOSES ARE MANY TIME LESS THAN CRSS AND RESULT IN LOWER OPERATING COST.
  • 17. CONT. 4. MAINTENANCE COSTS ARE LOW DUE TO THE ABSENCE OF MECHANICAL WEAR. 5. YARN TENSION COULD BE MEASURED BY MEASURING THE MAGNETIC FIELD STRENGTH REQUIRE TO MAINTAIN THE DISC CENTERED. 6. MAGNETIC SPG. OVERCOME ALMOST ALL THE DEFECTS CAUSED BY THE RING TRAVELLER SYSTEM WHICH ARE:
  • 18. CONT. A- RING TOO LARGE FOR BOBBIN STRETCHEDANDWEAK YARN, EXCESSIVE WEAR OF TRAVELLERS. B- TRAVELLER TOO LIGHT YARN FRAYED BY WHIPPING AGAINST SEPARATORS,SLACK TWIST IN YARN, SOFT BOBBINS, ACCOUNT TOO LITTLE TENSION OF THE LIGHT TRAVELLERS. C- TRAVELLER TOO HEAVY STRETCHED & WEAK YARN, ENDS DOWN, EXCESSIVE WEAR OF RINGS, CHAFED YARN. D- WORN TRAVELLERS ENDS DOWN, CHAFED & WEAK YARN.
