AUG codes for the amino acid Methionine
which signals to start a sequence that
produces an amino.
A start or stop amino acid is built from a codon. A codon
is made from a sequence of 3 nucleotides. These certain
codons make amino acids that make proteins.
UAA, UAG,&
UGA all
signal for
the end of
an amino
acid. We call
these STOP
codons.
