2. 1. Gather your ingredients

Brownie mix
LIQUID INGREDIENTS
¼ cup water (or 59 ml by
volume)
¼ cup vegetable oil
(or 59 ml by volume)
Hershey’s Syrup
1 egg
4. 3. Mix all the ingredients
together, dissolving the solid
ingredients into the liquid ingredients

5. 4. Mix the ingredients well till there
are no more lumps
Heterogeneous Mixture Homogeneous Mixture
(or a solution)
6. 5. Pour the mixture into the greased
baking dish and pop in the oven for
about 40-45 minutes
As the brownie mixture cooks, the density of the mixture will change.
7. 6. Brownies are done when a
toothpick inserted about 2” from the
side of the pan comes out almost
clean.
This demonstrates that enough of the liquid has evaporated
