  1. 1. World’s Best SconesIngredients:- 1¾ cups of flour 4 TSP (teaspoons) baking powder 1/4cup of white sugar 1/8TSP (teaspoon) salt
  2. 2. 5 tablespoons unsalted butter1/2 cup raisins1/2 cup milk1/4 cup sour cream1 egg1 TBS (tablespoon) milk
  3. 3. Directions1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).2. Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a large bowl.3. Cut in butter using a pastry blender until it is in pea sized grains.4. Stir inraisins.5. Mix together 1/2 cup milk and ¼ cup sour cream in a measuring cup. Pour all at once into the dry ingredients, and stir gently until well blended.Overworking the dough results in terrible scones!6. Make balls with the dough.Place onto a greased baking sheet and flatten lightly.
  4. 4. 7. Whisk together the egg and 1 tablespoon of milk.8. Brush the tops of the scones with the egg wash.Let them rest for about 10 minutes.9. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until the tops are golden brown.
