Title: ‘The way in which we consume Media in the future will be different’
The way we consume Media has change from generation to generation. It’s not
only how we consume media that has changed but also the types of media we
had in the past, the ones we have today and the development of media for our
future.
Newspapers have been traditionally used to provide societies with information
that circulates around the world. Some information can be trustworthy and
reliable, for instance,The Daily Telegraph whilst some delivers messages that
are not so reliable such as The Sun. But the inquiry being faced by communities
today is: Are newspapers just going to be a thing of the past? Since the internet
has been invented, news that once only appeared in pieces of paper can now
be distributed electronically to every part of the world through websites. The
internet has invaded over our daily lives and can be seen wherever we are and
whatever we are doing on our computers, mobile phones and tablets.
According to a website called Afrosocialmedia, an average mobile web user
consumes around 7.2 hours of media daily whilst web browsing has been
ranked as the most consumed media used by everyone today. When comparing
the use of the internet with newspapers, they appear at the completely opposite
ends of the media spectrum based on this survey, the newspaper is only read
33 minutes per day yet people spend up to 140 minutes browsing the internet
daily.
From this information only, this shows that the way we consume media has
changed and we are now living in the digital world where we rarely read
newspapers and instead log on or search for thoseinformation that enlighten us
but doesn’t necessarily related to the news on the web. This gives us a preview
into the possibilities of the types of media we will have in the future and how
newspapers will perhaps no longer exist as news on paper but will probably be
on websites for example, the BBC News.

Title: ‘The way in which we consume Media in the future will be different’
It is typically possible in the way newspapers might no longer exist, that books
will also vanish from our shelves and instead be placed as apps on I-pads and
I-phones or downloaded onto Kindles. Soon books will no longer exist on paper
but will exist as an electronic read bringing us further in the digital world.
If this is already the case today, in ten to twenty years from now we will no
longer or have a fewer paper based media and are future looks like we will be
living with technology and the digital means of media.
