In January 1998, Trevor Swan was assigned on an eight month TDY to Delta’s Latin
American Business Unit which I was responsible for at that time. It was a period of
considerable activity as five new stations – San Jose de Costa Rica, Guatemala City,
San Salvador, Panama City, Panama and Caracas – were opened within a week. Very
much of a self starter who contributed new ideas and with his energy, capacity for hard
work and his good sense of humor, Trevor was a very valuable member of the team.
His responsibilities included:

   -   Assisting Sales & Marketing with the planning of the Inaugural receptions and
       setting up weekly reports to track the profitably of the routes

   -   Helping our Finance person with the business planning and budget

   -   Supporting Airport Customer Service with airport related initiatives including the
       reopening of an international in-transit lounge at the Atlanta Worldport

Trevor was very much a team player, was popular and worked well with our group. We
were sorry to see him move on to the Operation Control Centre.

I have worked very closely with Mr. Swan during the past 12 years as a fellow team
member. Trevor excelled in this role and maintained one of the highest levels of

I served with Trevor for eleven years on a small team representing the customer service
division in the operational control center for a major airline. Trevor is an extremely
dedicated and honest teammate who is committed to customer service. He consistently
maintained a keen awareness of corporate goals and worked very hard to meet or
exceed them. Trevor pays close attention to all the details of a task and is very good at
anticipating obstacles and searching for ways to overcome them. I am very proud to
have served with him in this capacity and to have been a teammate of his.
