2. Synopsis
• We are still not sure of the synopsis of the entire film, but we
have decided that it’s going to be action genre, set in an urban
location.
• The synopsis of the opening two minutes is still not
completely decided but we have talked about the plot of the
clip including a crime such as a stabbing or mugging being
committed which is aimed to be the significant event in the
opening two minutes.
3. Costumes
For the costumes, we are going to use ones that are stereotypical
to the types of people the characters are playing, for example the
character who commits the crime will be wearing clothing such
as tracksuit, hoodies, and a balaclava.
As for the victim of the crime we will use old, tatty looking
clothes which presents them as poor, and makes the audience
feel sympathy for them.
4. Props
The most obvious prop that we are going to use is a
weapon, most likely a knife when filming the mugging/stabbing
scene.
Another prop we are likely to use is an object that gets stolen
from the victim of the crime, such as a Phone, Wallet, or item of
jewellery such as a watch.
5. Location
For the location, we are going to use the local area, as it is urban
which suits the genre of the film.
We are hoping to film the crime being committed in the alleyway
that cuts through to Leatherhead from the top of Kingscroft
Road, but this could a problem as it is commonly used by the
Public which could interrupt the filming.
6. Key Characters
The two main characters are going to be the criminal and the
victim.
As mentioned earlier in the presentation, we will use the
costumes to present these characters, by using costumes that are
stereotypical to their character, with the criminal wearing
tracksuit and a hoodie, the connotations of those being
gang/thug related, and the victim wearing scruffy clothes to
present them as poor.
