The recipient of a doctor of education from Pepperdine University and a master of business administration from the University of Southern California, Dr. Tod Burnett has dedicated his career to public service and education. Since 2008, Dr. Tod Burnett has served as president of Saddleback College.

education. Since 2008, Dr. Tod Burnett has
served as president of Saddleback College.

3.  Located in Mission Viejo, California, Saddleback
College serves as the academic home to 40,000
students annually. Featuring 300 degree and
certificate programs, the institution received
$2.75 million from the U.S. Department of Labor
in September 2013. This Trade Adjustment
Assistance Community College and Career
Training Program grant will enable the school to
create a healthcare career readiness and training
program. Nearly 175 colleges across the country
submitted applications, and Saddleback College
was only one of 23 applicants to receive the
award.

4.  The school's Division of Health Sciences and
Human Services will use the funds to launch
its Orange County Health Care Career
Transitions - Fast Track to Success program.
The program will train Saddleback students
and unemployed and displaced workers for
positions in the healthcare field. Other
initiatives will inform current healthcare
professionals of job opportunities arising
from passage of the Affordable Care Act.
