is in operation.
RF Power Caution. Do not connect or disconnect radio antennas while radio is
in operation.
Turn vehicle ignition switch to "On" position and start vehicle.
If no fuses are blown, refer to vehicle radio replacement procedure.
Description
If Test Button does not turn "green", and illuminates "Yellow", then check
antenna connection. and repeat Test.
If Test Button does not turn "green", and illuminates "Red", then refer to
Antenna repalcement procedure.
Place radio antenna selector switch to "Antenna No. 2" VHF/UHF position.
Confirm Test Button illuminates and turns "green".
Task Analysis
O-Level
Fault Isolate - Wild Fire Radio
Turn radio power On/Off switch to "On".
If vehicle will not start refer to vehicle troubleshooting procedures.
Voltage/Current Warning. Severe or minor personnel Injury or possible burns
can occur. Avoid handling or contacting vehicle supplied 28 vdc power to radio.
RF Power Warning. Possible Death, severe, or minor personnel Injury or burns
can occur. Avoid handling or contacting vehicle radio antenna.
High Temperature. Careful when handling. Case is hot to touch and can burn
personnel or materials if stacked or place on or near case.
If vehicle fuse (F36) is blown, refer to vehicle fuse replacement procedure.
Place radio antenna selector switch to "Antenna No. 1" VHF/UHF position.
Press radio Test Button to start radio diagnostics.
If Test Button does not turn "green", and illuminates "Yellow", then check
antenna connection. and repeat Test.
If Test Button does not turn "green", and illuminates "Red", then refer to
Antenna repalcement procedure.
Confirm each step. While performing Fault Isolation Radio diagnostics, if Test
Button turns "Yellow" or "Red" observe fault indication described next to Test
Button, and annote failured LRU or Error Message". Continue on to next step
until test procedure ends.
If radio power "On" LED does not illuminate and turn "green", check radio fuse
(F1) is not blown.
Verify radio power ""On" LED is illuminated.
If radio fuse (F1) is blown, refer to Fuse replacement procedure
If radio fuse (F1) is not blown, check vehicle fuse (F36) and check to see if it is
blown.
Press radio Test Button to start radio diagnostics.
Confirm Test Button illuminates and turns "green".
