Introduction

        As mobile technologies advances, traditional healthcare
and education delivery models can be expedited at lower costs
through innovative mobile-powered healthcare services.
        ClickMedix mobile health and education platform offers a
growing suite of mobile health services targeting different disease
verticals to deliver quality healthcare to patients by connecting
them to primary health providers and medical specialists,
providing just-in-time care and education. The mobile health
solutions have been used in more than ten countries including
the US.
        This role-based training manual describes how to use
features of the system to deliver telehealth care and education
for primary health providers, medical students, medical residents,
medical attendings, and medical specialists.

One-Time Setup
Setup Step 1: Create User Account

  There are two ways to create an account:
          1. Receive an email invitation from your organization
          2. Follow the link to
             Registerhttps://global.clickmedix.com/register
          3. After filling out a registration form, click on the activation link
             in your confirmation email from registrar@clickmedix.com
          4. Login with your Username and Password you entered on the
             registration form.

          Important Note: login username is case-sensitive

1. Overview
  ClickMedix was founded and developed by graduates and faculty from
  MIT, Harvard, and Carnegie Mellon. The mobile telehealth system
  utilizes mobile and web technologies to enable patients and health
  professionals to consult with medical experts at any time and anywhere
  to expedite healthcare delivery. The system has demonstrated
  improved health outcomes, shortened time to treatment, reduction in
  costs (from patients and providers) while improving medical education
  and health worker training.
2. Experience
  The mobile telehealth system has been piloted in more than ten
  countries for the past three years and commercially launched as
  ClickMedix in 2010. The management team has combined more than 30
  years of experience in healthcare, mobile/web communications and e-
  commerce technologies.

Lessons Learned
  •     Witnessed rapid improvements in patient health when a remote expert/specialist
        is involved to provide diagnosis and treatment advice for symptoms unfamiliar to
        local health practitioners
  •     Medical Expert = health practitioner who specializes in treatment of particular
        diseases and can qUFHHkly recognize associated symptoms
  •     Some patients who otherwise would need to wait for months or even years to see
        an expert/specialist received effective treatment within 72 hours via remote
        consultation
  •     100% patients accepted mobile-phone usage of capturing symptoms information
        including images when used by health practitioners
  •     Training health practitioners to use mobile phones took an hour or less
  •     In-country health practitioners including health workers liked the “novelty” of
        using mobile phones for data collection
  •     In-country health practitioners felt empowered to treat their own patients
        through advice of remote experts/specialists
  •     Cost savings realized through reduction of transportation costs and increased
        ability to serve more patients without increasing staff
