The Cougar Discovery Summer Academic Camp is a 4-day program from June 27-30, 2016 for incoming 9th-12th grade students interested in careers in engineering, computer science, business, nursing, education, digital technology, environmental science, humanities, psychology and more. Students will choose a major to explore, learn about college and careers, and take field trips including to the B-Reactor historic site. The camp aims to help students learn what they want to study in college. It will be held on the WSU Tri-Cities campus from 8:30am-4:30pm each day and include lunch. The registration deadline is first-come, first-served and the tuition is $395 per

• For four enriching days, students will:
- Have the opportunity to choose a “Major” and attend
an engaging workshop series taught by experts in
that field of study.
- “Explore” different careers where industry
professionals from the local region will be invited to
present and offer unique insights on their career.
- Build upon “College Knowledge” through
interactive sessions understanding how to choose the
right school, how to navigate the college acceptance
process, and how to develop a plan to pay for school.
• Cougar Discovery and Hanford Site Tours will
organize a field trip for participants to visit unique
historical landmarks located on the site that helped
forever change the outcome of World War II,
specifically one named the B-Reactor.
• Students will also be informed of dual-credit options
at WSUTC (Running Start & College in the HS).
• Cougar Discovery will take place from
June 27-30, 2016 (Monday – Thursday)
• Participants will arrive on the WSU Tri-Cities
campus each day at 8:30 am
• Lunch will be served on campus from
12:00 – 1:00 pm
• The day will end at approximately 4:30 pm
• B-Reactor field trips will be held on Tuesday and
Wednesday
