Diesel is a major fossil fuel consumed in Nepal, produced between 200-350C and used for power generation and transportation. The presentation aims to identify major diesel consumption areas and suggest alternatives to minimize consumption. Data was collected from various sources including the Nepal Oil Corporation. Diesel is mainly consumed in agriculture, industry, and transportation. Large amounts of capital are spent on imports, which also causes environmental issues. Recommendations include developing hydropower, promoting mass transit and electric vehicles, and investing in biofuels to reduce diesel dependency.
