METHOD
• Qualitative Method, using the Bipolar Laddering Assessment:
• It works on positive and negative poles to define the strengths and weaknesses of the
proposal.
• After that, the laddering technique is applied to define the relevant product details.
• Elicitation of the elements (strengths and weaknesses);
• Marking (from 0, the lowest possible level of satisfaction to 10, the maximum level of satisfaction);
• Element definition: The answer must include a specific explanation of the exact characteristics that
make the mentioned element a strength or weakness of the product.

TASK ASSESSMENT
• We are programming an urban space using 3D models and a gamming platform: Unreal
Engine 4 and the HTC Vive virtual reality glasses as an interaction device
• The main actions to be evaluated were the following:
• Task 1: Insert and remove an element in the scenario (taking into account that these elements
have been previously implemented in a 3D modeling software);
• Task 2: Place elements in the environment (the user has the ability to move, rotate and place the
elements in the urban space);
• Task 3: Render the space to be visualized as clearly and comprehensively as possible.

CONCLUSIONS
• Realism
• Immersive experience
• Space understanding (especially for architecture users)
• Complex system in the first steps
• It is necessary to improve the lighting
• Lack of detail/quality (especially for architecture users)
• Very important to take into account the user profile in the programming of gamified
systems…all the users are different and needs different solutions
• To Explore new ways to import models and textures in the 3D interactive space to improve the
immersive experience and the realism
