MacBook Updates
MacBook Pro’s last major was in June 2012, which brought a retina display and a thinner design to
the MacBook Pro lineup.
Apple doesn’t change its laptops very often, relying on internal component upgrades every now and
then.
This time Apple is all set to make a major update in MacBook Pro Laptop.

3. MacBook Pro

Apple.

screen above the keyboard.

4. Device Shape
The new MacBook Pro is expected to be thinner and lighter, but not wedge-shaped like the MacBook
Air or 12-inch retina MacBook.
The bezels around the display are likely to be smaller with a smaller overall frame of the device.
5. Functionality
MacBook Pro will have more than one port.
Apple could switch to USB Type-C ports to replace USB ports, the MagSafe port and even Thunder-
bolt ports as USB-C ports can support the Thunderbolt protocol.
Apple might drop the HDMI port and SD card slot to save up on space, maybe not.
Apple most probably would use the Intel Skylake processors, giving a performance boost and improv-
ing energy consumption.
A better Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips can also be expected.
6. Another Significant Feature
The most significant addition will be a narrow OLED display right above the keyboard.
It would replace the physical function keys with a touch screen.
This could be the most surprising element of this MacBook Pro as nobody knows exactly how Apple
will use this strip.
User could control basic laptop functions from this screen, such as volume and media buttons.
Apple could also take advantage of this screen to display shortcuts and information depending on the
app being used.
7. Touch ID
A Touch ID sensor is all set to make an entry in the Mac.
This would help to unlock the laptop without having to type the password.
Also, the Touch ID sensor would ship with a secure enclave, making the Mac more secure than
before.
It would let app developers use Touch ID for other things like: password managers could take advan-
tage of Touch ID for example.
8. Release Date
As the reports suggests Apple would not launch the MacBook Pro at the iPhone launch event
But we all could see the release of all new MacBook Pro Laptop in October.
