7. Where people live the world influences their lives because some areas have more facilities than others which in turn influences people’s quality of life. For example urban areas have more facilities than rural areas meaning that people living in the urban areas have a better quality of life. Therefore people living in rural areas do not have such a good quality of life because they have fewer facilities. This is an example of an ACHIEVED answer for the global pattern of population distribution. You can use this as an example to complete your answer by changing the words. Remember WHYHOWWHYHOWWHYHOWWHY?
8. Where people live the world influences their lives because some areas have more facilities than others which in turn influences people’s quality of life. For example urban areas like Tokyo, New York, Auckland have more facilities than rural areas. Auckland for example has 2 universities and 3 hospitals with which people can choose to use, whereas rural areas around New Zealand do not have universities or hospitals. This means that people living in urban areas have a better chance of gaining a higher education (10% of people in urban areas with university degrees compared to 1% in rural areas) and getting better health care. This increases the quality of someone’s life compared to someone living in rural area. This is an example of an MERIT answer for the global pattern of population distribution. 9. This shows us that when people have good accessibility to facilities they are able to use them to their advantage. For example most people living in Auckland are within 1 hour’s drive of a university and a hospital whereas people living in rural areas have to travel 2-6 hours to use these facilities (depending on our close they are to an urban centre with these facilities). This poor accessibility means that people living in rural areas are more likely to have lower levels of education, reducing their ability to further their career and earn more money, thus reducing the quality of their lives. This is an example of an EXCELLENCE answer for the global pattern of population distribution. You can use this as an example to complete your answer by changing the words.
